GM’S OPEN LETTER
Dear Owners,
Where has the time gone? It seems such
a short time ago since I was writing the
final newsletter for 2014, and here we
are about to go into what is going to be
an amazing season at Regent Bay.
The new additions to the facilities
are out of this world, and add a new
dimension to the Park, that hopefully all
our Owners will appreciate and enjoy.
As always, thank you for taking the time
to read through this newsletter and if
anyone has any feedback please feel
free to call into Reception or email me
directly at:

RAMTECH ALARMS
Security is very important to us here
at Regent Bay, which is why are giving
our Owners the exclusive opportunity to
add a welcome addition to their Holiday
Homes.
We are now offering Ramtech Alarm
Systems which are fully monitored by the
Park, fully installed for the introductory
price of just £330!
The Ramtech Alarm system is a silent
alarm that notifies the Park when anyone
enters the Caravan and doesn’t turn off
the alarm, this adds great security to
your Caravan as when the alarm sounds
one of the team go straight round to
your Caravan to check all is well. Out of
hours the alarm also links directly to a
pager so the security of your Caravan is
protected at all times.
If you would like to book a Ramtech
installation please email:
anne-marie.dixon@
park-resorts.com
or alternatively call Reception to book
direct – 01524 413 940.
RECEPTION
We are pleased to let you all know, after
listening to feedback from you, our
March 2015
Owners, we have extended our week
day opening times. As of 21st March,
Reception opening hours will be:
Monday, Friday & Saturday:
9 am until 8pm
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday:
9 am until 6 pm.
HOLIDAY BOOKINGS
What a great season we are having so
far in terms of Holiday Sales! Regent
Bay is so popular with Holidaymakers
and now that we are part of the Park
Resorts website and brochure, bookings
are up by over 50%, which is amazing!
Over the winter period, we have talked to
lots of Owners with regards to subletting
their Caravans and many Owners have
joined the EasyLet Scheme. With holiday
bookings being so in demand, we cannot
stress enough what the benefits to you,
as a Caravan Owner, would be if you
joined the scheme.
Our EasyLet scheme is a fully managed
arrangement and we take care of
everything for you in terms of making
the holiday booking, collecting payments
and ensuring your Caravan is cleaned
and maintained to a high standard.
Many of our Owners that sublet with us
managed to earn enough income to pay
their Pitch fees last season and still had
some change!
Feel free to call into Reception and
speak to me about EasyLet or call me on
01524 413 940.
As we are sure you will agree, Regent
Bay, with all the investment happening on
Park, has never looked better and we look
forward to our Owners and Holidaymakers
taking full advantage of everything that is
new!

DON’T FORGET
DOG FOULING
To ensure you’re up to date on everything Park Resorts, make
sure you “Like” us on Facebook and Follow us on Twitter!
We are looking at introducing a fine system for any Owner who
does not pick up after their dog whilst exercising on Park.

We get several complaints each month regarding this issue and
it is something we are going to get tough on for 2015!
With this in mind, if you see any Owner who is not respecting the
Park and the other Owners on site by not picking up, we want
to know.
Please report any dog fouling to Reception.
RECYCLING
Here at Regent Bay we strive to respect the environment and
endeavour to be a ‘green’ park. I would appreciate your help on
this, so can I ask everyone to try and be more conscious of how you
dispose of your rubbish. All recyclable material (cardboard, paper,
and plastic) should go into the White bins. Glass goes into the
small Green bins, and all other general waste goes into the Blue
bins. Definitely a small but worthwhile task. Thank you in advance.
SECURITY BARRIERS
As mentioned in our last newsletter, we will stop opening the
barrier from Reception ad-hoc for random people gaining entry
to the Park. Over the years it seems far too many people have
become used to popping into Reception and asking “please can
you lift the barrier?”
The safety of our Caravan Owners is paramount and
understanding who is entering the Park is an important part
of that. If you have people that regularly visit you on Park, then
additional barrier cards are purchasable from Reception for
£30.00.
This will be actioned from Monday 2nd March, so please ensure
you make provisions for your visitors coming onto the Park.
EMAIL ADDRESSES
As a Park, we are always striving to ensure that we can
communicate with our Owners at all times, and the best way for
us to do this is via email. If you have an email address that you
use that we might not have on our system then please fill out
the slip below and hand it into Reception.
As we push to collate as many email addresses as possible,
from the ones sent in we will be pulling one out of a hat to
receive a special prize from the Park.

2015 sees a few changes to our systems, one of which is that
if you are paying for a gas bottle by debit or credit card, then

NEW FOR 2015
Work is progressing very nicely in every area we are
developing in time for the 2015 season. For those
of you who follow us on our Facebook page you will
have seen the weekly photo updates in all areas.
Whilst the Boathouse has progressed very quickly,
some of the projects will be seen happening over
the next few weeks. We are however, aiming for
everything being completed in time for opening
back up on Friday 6th March.
Along with the new Boathouse, we are also pleased
to let our Owners know that for 2015 we will be
introducing the all new Boathouse Menu. There’s
lots of exiting new food options and some traditional
favourites too, we hope you like it and would welcome
any feedback as always on any of the meals you try
with us.
Here’s a taste of what’s new for 2015:
SECURITY JUST GOT SECURE
I am pleased to announce that Roy Thompson
has now moved across into the role of Security
Manager for Regent Bay. As many of you
will be aware, Roy has been with us here at
Regent for a number of years and knows the
Park and more importantly you, our Owners,
better than most.
Roy has held a few different positions at
Regent, but has now decided to make sure
the Security of the Park is his number one
priority.
Should anyone require any out of hours
assistance the Security team is available on;
07770 638 276.
ENTERTAINMENT NEWS
& FUTURE EVENTS
WELCOME BACK PARTY
Saturday 14th March is the date set for our Welcome
Back Party where you will get to meet all the new
team members, and have a fantastic night with us.
We have a fantastic Meatloaf Tribute Show “Mark
Taylor” booked for your entertainment.
Tickets for the Welcome Back Party can be purchased
from the Sales Office at a cost of £5.00 – The £5.00
is fully redeemable at the bar in the complex. The
reason for the tickets is there will be a light buffet
served and we need to be sure of numbers attending.
NEW ENTERTAINERS
This season sees a whole new
entertainment team coming to Regent.
As previously communicated we have a
new Entertainment’s Manager, Geoff Hill,
and we can now confirm that his assistant
will be Alex Chambers who is another
experienced Team Star that has worked
for the company over the last few seasons.
We will also then have an additional Team
Star who will join us for the peak season,
to support what is already looking like an
amazing team!
You will get to meet Geoff & Alex at the
Welcome Back party!
See you there.
LOOKING BACK
Early in 2014 we held our first Owner Forum, in
which I was joined by my Regional Director Craig
Hulme, and approximately 50 Owners were invited
along to discuss all things Regent. The set up of
these forums is to talk through Park issues in a nice
environment to ensure the Park moves forward for
the benefit of all parties.
The forum held at Regent was a huge success and
for the benefit of all Owners, here are some of the
things that came out of the forum:
What You Said
What We Did
“Dragon’s Teeth”
There was concern that
the “Dragon’s Teeth” at the
bottom of the Park had been
taken away and not replaced
for some time. Cars were
driving up a one way road,
causing issues.
We
ordered
a
new,
replacement
“Dragon’s
Teeth” and fitted this within
14 days.
Street Lighting
It was said that some of the
lighting around the Park
was not working correctly,
with one or two being out for
a while.
We monitored the lights,
and had security doing
nightly checks and repaired
the lights which were not
working.
Dog Fouling
A few Owners mentioned
that there seemed to be an
increasing amount in some
areas of the Park.
We
have
introduced
additional signage, and
included in a message each
newsletter since. We have
also identified a couple of
repeat offenders who have
now been dealt with.
Communication
Many at the forum felt
that communication from
the Park & company to all
Owners was poor.
We have sent out regular
newsletters, we update
the Park’s Facebook page
almost daily with all things
about Regent and the
general area.
We have ensured that
Owners calendars were
sent to home addresses as
opposed to being collected
from the Park.
Very soon we will be writing to some more Owners,
inviting you along to the next Owner’s Forum where
we hope you will be able to join us, and together
we can talk through any issues, and discuss the
positives of the Park.
Your next two GM clinic dates are:
26th April — 2pm - 4pm
31st May — 2pm - 4pm
