EN PLEIN AIR PL 210 - GRIS
Porter Teleo’s En Plein Air may make you think of the French Impressionists
trying to capture a passing moment. The pattern features a fluid approach to
image making, attempting to capture the transient qualities of nature. The
flowers are literally poured onto the wallcovering, which creates an open, free,
lyrical effect... similar to the essence of real flowers.
Process: Richly pigmented flowers are poured onto handpainted backgrounds
allowing the inks to blend with one another, and blurring the lines between the
two. This product is hand painted using the finest richly pigmented artists inks.
A slight variation in color, tone and image will exist.

Porter Teleo’s Floral Graffiti is a large scale abstract floral pattern made up
of layers of ink applied at various levels of evaporation. The process creates a
field of abstract “flowers” that appear to be dripping down the mottled field.
The result is a multi-dimensional landscape that invites the viewer to rest at
various areas of negative space.
Process: Richly pigmented inks are layered upon one another at various stages
of drying and in various opacities in order to build a multi dimensional image.
The composition at first appears simple, but upon further inspection is truly
multi dimensional.

Porter Teleo’s Fluidity is achieved by allowing puddles of rich inks to
naturally separate through evaporation. Throughout the process, additional
layers of ink add even more character. The process leaves representational
marks and rings that trace the different pigments in a color as it is allowed to
breakdown over time . The result when caught on paper is quite extraordinary
and beautiful.

naturally with gravity, but are specifically placed for an overall nice
composition.

Porter Teleo’s Ink Blots offers a hand made aesthetic to a yet familiar subject.
The organic forms are created through blotting the artists inks onto highquality Japanese papers. The pattern features one, large, vertical ink blot per
roll. No two ink blots are alike, they are individually created. The blot does not
cross the horizontal seam so as to avoid a chaotic visual result.

express their personal attitude through line itself. Focusing on the quality of
the lines brings a personal and unique connection with the overall composition

force of gravity along rolls of handpainted Japanese papers. The result is a
poetic and unforced pattern that relies heavily on the placement of the lines
