This week in Writing
This week in Writing we will be journaling
daily in our journals.
This Week in Reading
This week in Reading our story is titled Meet
Rosina.
This week in Grammar
This week we will continue talking about how
a sentence is a group of words and a
complete thought.
We will be reviewing “subjects” this week.
The subject of a sentence is who or whom the
sentence is about.
Our new skill will be “predicates.” The
predicate of a sentence tells what the subject
is doing.
On YOUTUBE you can find the video Mr.
Morton by School House Rock. It is all about
subjects/predicates of a sentence.
We will take our test on Friday.
We will be discussing the vocabulary words
culture, deaf, language, signing, relatives
and celebrate.

This week in Science
Last week we finished talking about the
Life Cycles of a Butterfly and Frog. If you
get a chance you will have to check out
our bulletin board outside the classroom.
It features our Frog/Butterfly Projects.
This week we will begin talking about
Force. Our focus this week will be Pushes
and Pulls.
On Tuesday, we will be completing a
Science Lab Activity called “How Far Can
Different Things Move.”
We finished talking about Continents and
Oceans on Tuesday of last week. We
created a mini paper plate globe with
continents and oceans on it. They are on
display in our classroom. Boy does our
room looks so wonderful with all our
exciting projects! Feel free to stop by and
check it out sometime! My kiddos are so
creative! 
This week we are continuing to talk about
Landforms. We will finish putting together
our Landform Books and move on to our
Landform Mobiles that I plan to display in
the classroom.
