BROTHER SWING
The BROTHER SWING jazz band, recommended since 2003 by The Wedding
House (“La Maison du Mariage”) of Bordeaux, proposes to put its long and
successful experience at your disposal for the music at your wedding party or
banquet.
The band is formed by professional musicians from the Bordeaux and Bergerac
areas in South-West France (“Sud-Ouest”).
In order to offer its clients a broad and attractive range of services at the keenest
prices, the band can adapt its formation appropriately according to your personal
wishes, your budget and the space available (number and type of musicians, style
of orchestration etc.). The band travels extensively throughout the Aquitaine,
Dordogne and Lot regions, as well as the Charente region.
BROTHER SWING’s repertoire is large and caters for all tastes. The
instrumental music can be complemented by singers in English in such styles as
crooning (Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole or Dean Martin), covering most major
jazz standards. Alternatively singers can perform in French with occasionally
comic lyrics in the style of Henri Salvador or Moustache. This broad-ranging and
eclectic performance capacity has made the band particularly popular with mixed
French and British couples who request traditional American swing music (such
as Count Basie, Duke Ellington or Benny Goodman).
Contrasting atmospheres with different rhythms and musical colours can be
provided ranging from long romantic ballads, through medium tempo swing,
New Orleans, Bossa Nova, blues, Latin Jazz and Be-Bop.
Carefully graded sound volumes, and modern and delightful visual effects come
together to provide families with a pleasant and enjoyable time around the bride
and bridegroom.
