Birthday Party, Ages 3 to 12
Host your next party for your young aviator/ engineer at the home of the
First Army Aviation School and “Oldest continuously operating airport in the
world”. Enjoy an educational and high flying fun party for children of all ages! Take a look at

Party Packages:
Junior Aviator Party
Activities: Decorate a Kite, Windsock, or Model Plane
Fee: $350 (Non -Members) $300 (Members)
Guest: 10 (15 max) Child participants/ 12 Adults ($15 per extra child participant when
there are more than 10 participants/ $3 per extra adult)
Dates: Saturdays and Sundays at 10-12pm and 2-4pm
Amenities: Party room decorations, table coverings, mini tour, flight simulator, button
making, and party favor bags
Signal Corp Party
Activities: I’m Flying Photos, LEGOs, or Dog Tags and paper airplanes
Fee: $375 (Non -Members) $325 (Members)
Guest: 10 (15 max) Child participants/ 12 Adults ($15 per extra child participant when
there are more than 10 participants/ $3 per extra adult)
Dates: Saturdays and Sundays at 10-12pm and 2-4pm

Wilbur’s Workshop Party (10-12yrs old)
Activities: Rib Making
Fee: $400 (Non -Members) $350 (Members)
Guest: 10 max Child participants/ 12 Adults ($3 per extra adult)
Dates: Saturday’s at 10-1pm or 1-4pm
Amenities: Party room decorations, table coverings, mini tour, and party favor bags
Additional Activity

for Party Minimum must be submitted with this form. The balance is due the day of the party. No refunds allowed. No reservation

What You Need to Know:
•
To check date and time availability contact Event Coordinator, once a date is confirmed there will be a
10 day no obligation hold.
•
To reserve a date 50% of the rental fee is required and a completed reservation form. The balance of
the rental fee is due two weeks prior to the scheduled party along. Both the deposits and rental fees
must be in the form of cash, credit card, or certified check/cashier’s check/money order made payable
to the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (or M-NCPPC). Additional expenses,
such as additional guest admissions, must be paid in full the day of the party ($15 per extra child
participant & $3 per adult)
•
The parent or guardian planning the party should arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled party start
time for setup.
•
A staff member will be available to greet you and your guests upon arrival and assist you during your
party reservation time.
•
The museum staff will prepare the party room with a “Happy Birthday” banner, windsocks, and table
coverings before guests arrive. Additional hanging decorations and confetti are not permitted.
•
You may bring your own birthday cake, ice cream, food, and beverages. Foods and beverages that
stain are strictly prohibited. These include, chocolate and red icing, chocolate ice cream, chocolate
sauce, grape juice, and red fruit punch. Chocolate and tomato-based foods (INCLUDING PIZZA) are
strictly prohibited. Alcoholic-beverages are strictly prohibited.
•
All food and beverages served during the party must remain in the party room only. Food and
beverages are strictly prohibited in the Museum gallery.
•
You supply your own plates, cups, napkins, candles, lighter and all other necessary utensils.
•
You provide us with the number of guests attending the party the week before.
•
Music is not allowed in the party room or elsewhere in the Museum.
•
While in the Museum, all children and guests must stay outside airplane barriers. As a museum, it is
our mission to preserve, protect, and interpret. Our collection of artifacts, which we share with the
public, is irreplaceable. Should birthday party guests cause any damage to our collection or our
building; the hosting family can be held responsible.
•
College Park Aviation Museum reserves the right to escort from the premises any guest(s) not acting in
an appropriate and considerate manner with respect to museum property and to other museum
visitors.
•
Birthday Party size is limited to 15 children, including the birthday child and his or her siblings.

Directions
LOCATION: In College Park, Maryland near the University of Maryland, between Route 1 & Kenilworth
Avenue (Route 201). Accessible from the Green Line, College Park/University of Maryland Metro Station.
FROM THE BELTWAY: Take the Beltway (I-495) towards College Park and exit at Kenilworth Avenue (Exit
23). Turn south on Kenilworth Avenue (Rte. 201) at end of the ramp. Turn right at traffic light at Paint Branch
Parkway. Turn right at traffic light at Corporal Frank Scott Drive. Continue to the entrance of the airport
parking lot. Turn right onto service road and proceed to museum parking lot.
FROM BALTIMORE: Exit at Route 193 (Greenbelt Road) West toward College Park. Turn onto Kenilworth
Avenue, proceed for approximately one and a half miles and turn right onto Paint Branch Parkway. Turn right
at first traffic light, which is Corporal Frank Scott Drive. Continue to entrance of the airport parking lot. Turn
right onto service road and proceed to museum parking lot.
FROM WASHINGTON, DC: On MD-295 N (Balt-Wash Pkwy), take State Highway 410 (East-West Hwy)
toward New Carrollton/Hyattsville. At end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Hwy 410. Proceed for
approximately one mile and turn right at Kenilworth Avenue. Proceed for approximately one mile and turn
left onto Paint Branch Parkway. Turn right at first traffic light, which is Corporal Frank Scott Drive. Continue to
entrance of the airport parking lot. Turn right onto service road and proceed to museum parking lot.
FROM U.S. ROUTE 1: Turn onto Paint Branch Parkway at traffic light at the north entrance of the
University of Maryland. Proceed through 3 traffic lights. The next traffic light is Corporal Frank Scott Drive,
turn left. Continue to entrance of the airport parking lot. Turn right onto service road and proceed to museum
parking lot.
FROM METRO: Walk to intersection of Paint Branch Parkway and River Road. Cross over Paint Branch
Parkway and walk up to Corporal Frank Scott Drive. Walk down the path behind the three (3) Tennis Bubbles
then up to the Aviation Museum to the right.
