The balance of the rental fee is due two weeks prior to the scheduled party along. Both the deposits and rental fees must be in the form of cash, credit card, or certified check/cashier’s check/money order made payable to the Maryland-National Capital Park and Planning Commission (or M-NCPPC). Additional expenses, such as additional guest admissions, must be paid in full the day of the party ($15 per extra child participant & $3 per adult) • The parent or guardian planning the party should arrive 30 minutes prior to the scheduled party start time for setup. • A staff member will be available to greet you and your guests upon arrival and assist you during your party reservation time. • The museum staff will prepare the party room with a “Happy Birthday” banner, windsocks, and table coverings before guests arrive. Additional hanging decorations and confetti are not permitted. • You may bring your own birthday cake, ice cream, food, and beverages. Foods and beverages that stain are strictly prohibited. These include, chocolate and red icing, chocolate ice cream, chocolate sauce, grape juice, and red fruit punch. Chocolate and tomato-based foods (INCLUDING PIZZA) are strictly prohibited. Alcoholic-beverages are strictly prohibited. • All food and beverages served during the party must remain in the party room only. Food and beverages are strictly prohibited in the Museum gallery. • You supply your own plates, cups, napkins, candles, lighter and all other necessary utensils. • You provide us with the number of guests attending the party the week before. • Music is not allowed in the party room or elsewhere in the Museum. • While in the Museum, all children and guests must stay outside airplane barriers. As a museum, it is our mission to preserve, protect, and interpret. Our collection of artifacts, which we share with the public, is irreplaceable.
