The Program . . .
Transportation . . . .
Looking for a great way for your child (K - 5th graders) to spend their
after school time? Join the action-packed After School Program (ASP)
at the Mililani YMCA! Enjoy recreation swim, crafts, games, science,
cooking, fitness, and much more!! You set the curriculum!
Transportation is provided at the end of school from the
following schools:
This program design allows families to create a program that meets
the child’s interests and the parents’ preference.
Using the enclosed grid and the list of parameters below it, you can
create your child(ren)’s schedule for the afternoon.
Children will be in interest groups rather than age groups. Your
child(ren) will be picked up from school, brought to the Mililani
YMCA, have snack and be organized into interest groups based on
the classes you enroll them in. The class periods begin fifteen
minutes past the hour and finish at 5 minutes past the hour. The
children are then brought back to the MPR Room where they
regroup into their next class.

Homework/Study Hall: (K-6)
Drama : (K-2) and (3-6)
WOW! I’m Reading : (K-2)
Our study hall is a quiet focused
environment - with a limited number of
students each period. The staff leader will assist your child
as needed and supervise them while they work individually
to complete their
assignments. Depending on the amount of homework you
anticipate your child having, you can choose the amount of
time your child spends each afternoon working on their
homework. Children will not be able to leave study hall when
finished with their homework - rather they will stay until the
period is over. Children should bring a book to read - in case
they finish their homework before the study hall period ends.
Everybody enjoys the chance to escape from reality from
time to time, to climb inside the skin of another character.
This class encourages children to explore their dramatic sides
and discover the “play-ful” ideas they can get involved with
and enjoy.
It’s never to soon to raise a reader! Every kid who loves to
talk, scribble “messages”, or look at pictures is ready to learn.
