“What we all desire for ourselves, namely, not to be disturbed in our work, not to find hindrances to our efforts, to have
good friends ready to help us in times of need, to see them rejoice with us, to be on terms of equality with them, to be
able to confide and trust in them—this is what we need for happy companionship. In the same way children are human
beings to whom respect is due…What we desire they desire also.”
Maria Montessori (from Dr. Montessori’s Own Handbook, page 132-33)
Dear Parents,
I find this to be so true! I see it every day as a mother and a teacher. It all seems so simple. Life boils down to these
simple desires, no matter what your age. What is fantastic is this; this is what we offer at Hand In Hand in every one
of our programs! What a privilege and honor it is to work with your children in this way. Thank you!
Here’s what we’ve been up to:
Faith: Ask your student about TUT and GI²TS²! We have now memorized James 1: 1-2 and are working on verse
