OCTOBER 2010 Read-Aloud Story: Penny Learns To Create Instead of Spend! scfederal.org Penny was sitting at her desk making a list of everyone she wanted to buy a Christmas present for this year. Her list was very long, and even though she saves her allowance every week, she just didn’t have enough money in her Kids Club account to buy everyone a gift. Penny’s mom walked into Penny’s room and asked her, “What’s wrong, Penny?” Penny sighed and told her mom, “I don’t have enough money to buy presents for you, Daddy, Grandpa, Grandma and for all my friends at school.” Fall Word Scramble Unscramble these letters to make words about Fall. 1. eLfa 2. ekaR Penny thought for a few minutes and began to make a new list. Pretty soon Penny had come up with a gift idea for everyone on her list—and it didn’t even cost her a penny! 3. blaFotlo 4. rueTky Penny was very excited to start making the gifts and even more excited that she did not have to spend any of her hard earned money! 5.
