Children’s Place works with families to decrease
abuse and neglect of children, increase stability
in families, and improve children’s readiness for
school. Children may be referred to Children’s Place
because of behavior problems and developmental
difficulties, abuse or neglect. Annually, 200 children
and their families receive daily services from
Children’s Place, a United Way of Aiken County
agency.

adults to learn and practice social skills using drama
• Community Based Prevention Services and the
SAFY Empowering Families Statewide Network is a
specialized program helping families in their homes
and local communities.

donations to make-up our funding shortfall.
These funds are used to provide comprehensive,
personalized learning, enrichment & therapy to
the more than 200 children we serve. In addition,
annually, we conduct 4,235 hours of in-home
family therapy as well as weekly parenting classes.
