Mr. Arthur Irving - Acadia University

Mr. Arthur Irving
Arthur Irving grew up in Saint John, New Brunswick. Before beginning his
working career with Irving Oil, he attended Acadia University. Arthur is an
outdoor enthusiast and has canoed many rivers in the high Arctic. He is an avid
sportsman and conservationist, and is a long time supporter of Ducks Unlimited
Canada, having served on the Board and also as President.
Mr. Irving became Chancellor of Acadia University in 1996. He is dedicated to
ensuring Acadia’s standing as Canada’s leading undergraduate university. His
commitment to the enhancement of Acadia exists in the Irving Family’s recent
gift to the University: the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre and the
Harriet Irving Botanical Garden.
