Assisted the Vice Provost for Libraries, Computing, & Technology (VPLC&T) in the management of the Michigan State University central Web site, including policy, procedure, process, design. Managed central administration and executive projects for the Provost, President, and the Board of Trustees on behalf of the VPLC&T. Wrote 83 county data sheets verifying MSU’s economic impact in each county and assisted in editing the executive summary, together comprising the “Michigan State University: Our Leadership Priorities in Michigan”. This publication contributed to the acquisition of $1.4 million in recurring state funding and received a CASE award. Served as MSU’s point person regarding Web accessibility, including advising and consulting. Assisted in the management of LC&T’s general ledger and grant accounts (1991‐
1994), until assigned full‐time to the Digital Information Group. Performed beta testing and accessibility/usability testing of online applications (including Kuali financial system, Administrator’s Assistant, Adviser Appointment System, Web Enroll, and DEPACT), consulting, client advocacy, and MSU Internet policy development. Served as MSU’s representative to the Committee on Institutional Cooperation (CIC) Web Accessibility and Usability Advisory committee; drafted original proposal for official status as an advisory group to the CIO’s and facilitated CIO’s adoption. Served as MSU’s "invited expert" to the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Education and Outreach Working Group. Assisted in the development of outreach materials, curricula, technical reference documents, and the development of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 (released 12/11/08). Served on the W3C Web Accessibility Initiative (WAI) Web Site Redesign Project Task Force. Administrative Assistant II ‐ Michigan State University Agricultural Engineering, Michigan Energy Conservation Program (MECP): 1988 ‐ 1991. Managed communications and accounting for a $16 Million grant involving 10 MSU departments and 83 Michigan counties. Responsibilities included Project print publications, developing accounting and communication procedures, fostering relationships with the Michigan Department of Agriculture (the partner State agency), the Agricultural Experiment Station (AES), and the MSU Extension offices. Organized and managed the Michigan Energy Conservation Program (MECP) Capstone Conference. Supervised student employees. Accounting Clerk II ‐ Michigan State University Zoology Department: 1984 ‐ 1988. Revamped and managed accounting system and grant accounts, including the Navy Extra Low Frequency (ELF) 10‐year grant. Developed specialized reports for general ledger and research accounts. Supervised student employees. Systems Monitor, Authorized Cashier, Cashier ‐ Meijer, Inc., Service Department: 1969 ‐ 1984. Maintained the central scanner system, which generated the registers' alpha/numeric product identification and retail pricing function.
