Practise telling the time, both analogue and digital. Asking questions such as; how long until...? How many minutes
will it take?
Different methods for learning x7 and x9 times table (see attached sheet)
Encourage your child to read daily and explore any new vocabulary they may read, check in a dictionary for the
definition or write them down to look at with the class. When reading do they notice any words which have got
suffix or prefixes with them and they can identify the root word e.g happy to happiness, enjoy to enjoyment and
discuss the rule with them.
Practise weekly spellings and see if they can find anymore words which have the same rule.
