Homecoming Schedule:
Monday—PJ Day

Thursday—Super Hero Day
Friday—Blue/White Day
Math: Students completed their Unit 2 final assessment.
Monday we will move into Unit 3: Fraction, Concepts, Addition,
and Subtraction. The first lessons are Connecting Fractions and
Division; Interpreting Remainders, and Fraction on a Number Line.
We will continue out timed Multiplication Fact Assessments each
week and our mental math practice .
Reading: This week students completed a Web Quest to learn
more about burrowing owls and their habitats. Students also
created and painted Paper Mache owls. Please check out my

Language Arts: In Grammar workshop lessons 10 & 11,
students are working with common & proper nouns;
ERB Meeting for parents grades 2-9: On October 27,
and singular and plural nouns.
Maclay will be making the ERB test scores available and

Crisis. Students prepared for and completed a Water “Quest”
(assessment) to demonstrate knowledge of all things water.
Students submitted their Q1 Journals that they made in Book
Creator. Next week, we’ll have a special guest on Monday and
will begin our unit on Geoscience (Earth Science).
Report Cards: The end of the first 9 week grading period is
