Dear West Aurora Families,
Though it may seem that summer has just begun, we are quickly approaching the start of the 2016-2017 school
year. Prior to the beginning of the school year, we want to provide you with some important information.
Included in this mailing you will find information about:
• Senior Parking Permits
• Important dates
• Houses and late arrival Mondays including the bell schedule
• The Activities Department
• Picture day
• The Athletic Department
FIRST DAY of SCHOOL = AUGUST 17th, 2016
Beginning August 5th, student schedules will be available through Home Access and printed copies of the
schedule including locker information will be sent home prior to the start of school. The building remains
under construction; therefore we are unable to provide open access to the building prior to the start of the school
year. During Enter With Pride, Freshmen will have an opportunity to walk their schedules and find their
lockers. This will ensure that incoming freshmen can familiarize themselves with the building. Although the
building has limited access, House personnel will be available during the times below to assist with student
schedules. Please use Door 1 to enter and exit the building.
August 9 Tuesday
9:00 am - 1:00 pm
August 10 Wednesday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
August 11 Thursday
9:00 am - 1:00 pm
We look forward to seeing you and hope you enjoy the rest of your summer.
Sincerely,
Ron Murphy

Pay to Play
There have been some slight changes regarding outstanding fee
balances. Students that have outstanding fees (school or athletic) will
NOT be able to get their red registration card. All past due fees must be
paid prior to participating in a sport.
Secondly, payment plans for athletic fees will not be accepted. Instead,
athletes will have one month from the start of the sport (September 12
for fall) to pay off their athletic fees in full. AFTER THAT DATE,
ATHLETES WITH OUTSTANDING FEES WILL BE INELIGIBLE TO PLAY. Up
until that deadline partial payments will be accepted, however, athletes
will not be able to continue playing if not paid in full by the due date.
Fees are $85 for the first sport, $55 for the second sport, and $25 for
the third sport.
Senior Parking Permits:
•
Must be senior status and hold a valid driver’s license with all prior debt paid (example: student
fees and/or fines).
•

serve basis.
•
A parent approved application is required before a permit is issued. Permits can be printed
at http://www.sd129.org/Page/1336 or picked up at the main office.
•
$50.00 parking permit fee must be paid online starting August 8, 2016 prior to receiving permit.
