OVERIEW
Computers are everywhere and are composed of
hardware (the physical parts such as the monitor
and keyboard) and software (the
programs/instructions followed to implement
functions. Computers exhibit a virtual reality that
we can perceive ourselves in as if it were real. In
order to be a part of this reality though we must be
able to speak the computer’s language in all its
forms – HTML, Microsoft Office, Alice, and
JavaScript.
In this lab we
learned how to
code with
JavaScript
Computer
Language. Here is a
game of Black Jack I
created in doing so.
VISUAL PROGRAMING WITH
ALICE
MAKING INFO. AVAILABLE TO
THE WORLD WITH HTML & WEB
PAGES
In Alice we
learned basic
programming. It
was somewhat
of an
introduction to
how to think
aout writing
JavaScript.
In this homework we
learned about HTML
– Hypertext Markup
Language. We
utilized different tags,
such as <html>, <b>
for bold, <table>, and
their closings to
create a calendar for
the month of
October.
DESKTOP PUBLISHING WITH MS
WORD
In this lab we
learned about file
structures and
advanced features of
Microsoft Word. I
personally did not
know Word could do
all this until now.
PRESENTATION OF INFO. WITH S
POWERPOINT
In lab 5 we learned to
display financial data from
Excel in a stylistic
Powerpoint Presentation.
Here I have represented
stock market trends in three
different charts displayed as
bar and pie graphs.
DATA ANALYSIS & VISUALIZATION
WITH MS EXCEL
In this lab we learned to use Excel Sreadsheets to in
order to visualize financial data. Here I have
represented my budget.
