Energy Savings
Agrishift® LED lighting makes it easy to provide natural daylight
simulation for improved productivity. The Dim-to-Red® light
spectrum featured by the MLM-Red has been shown to decrease the
time to peak production by stimulating ovulation via the release of
reproduction stimulating hormones. Sunrise and sunset simulation
eliminates the stress inputs of switching lights on and off abruptly
which can lower mortality and support immune response. Research
and on-farm testing have shown immediate changes in bird
behavior, increased performance, and lower overall stress indicators.
AgriShift® MLM-Red lights are more energy efficient than existing
U-tube fluorescent bulbs and are not prone to the breakage that
causes mercury release. They provide a fast return on investment
as well as long-term savings. Unlike CFL or Cold-cathode lighting
systems, these lights have no need for ballasts or transformers and
fit directly into a standard electrical junction box. The modular
design of ONCE LED systems allows for easy installation in a wide
range of applications.
The Science Behind the Technology
Since the red spectrum of the light is the only spectrum which
stimulates the hen’s hypothalamic and pineal oscillators, the
AgriShift® MLM-Red has been designed as a deeply red saturated
light output with added blue and green spectrum (for vision). The
red spectrum helps to maintain circadian rhythms, and promotes
sexual maturity.

The MLM family has the same ruggedness and environmental
tolerance that ONCE lighting systems are known for. The MLM-Red
is built to resist corrosion and is also watertight, heat-dissapating
and long-lasting which prolongs the life of the lamp, eliminates
maintenance costs and conforms to agricultural lighting standards.
The 50,000 hour lifetime is backed by a 5 year (24/7) replacement
warranty.
