RE: Senior Class Trip
The 2014 Senior Class Trip to Walt Disney World is now being
organized. It is scheduled for April 5th through April 8th.
Transportation to and from Florida will be via chartered air flight.
Cost of the trip will be $1078.00. By notifying you about the trip now
it is hoped that the summer months will provide many students the
opportunity to earn money for the trip.
A deposit of $350.00 is required by Friday, September 20th. This
deposit is 100% refundable through November 22, 2013.
Hopefully, the basic information provided in this packet will assist you
in making a decision about the upcoming trip.
We look forward to a memorable trip for the Class of 2014! Return
your deposit and commitment form to the High School Main Office as
soon as possible.
Upper Moreland Senior Class Trip: April 5-8, 2014
The class trip to Florida will include:
 Transportation from the high school to the Philadelphia Airport
 Round trip air flight between Philadelphia Airport and Orlando
 All ground transportation while in Florida
 Three nights lodging at the Disney All Star Resort, quad occupancy
 Four day Park Hopper Plus to include visits to Disney’s Hollywood
Studios, Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Animal Kingdom plus the option to visit
Blizzard Beach, Typhoon Lagoon and Disney Quest a total of 4 times
during stay
 Admission to Universal Studios
 Gratuities
 2 meals per day
CANCELLATION POLICY
THE INITIAL $350.00 DEPOSIT IS 100% REFUNDABLE through November 22,
2013. Notification in writing from a parent or guardian, for a desire to cancel a
reservation must be submitted to Mrs. Vesper. Students may choose to
purchase trip insurance on their own through the following website:
www.wcv.com/art/pdfs/TG008444_FITflyer%20.pdf. The cost is $29pp.
If a student drops out of the trip after November 22, 2013 refunds are handled as
follows: Cancellation must be in writing and delivered directly to Mrs. Vesper.
Verbal notification is not acceptable. He/she is subject to extensive fees, the
cost of which will be determined at the time of cancellation. This amount may be
close to cost of the trip. If the student has purchased insurance and the
cancellation is for a covered reason, the family must submit their claim directly to
the insurance carrier for reimbursement, but is still responsible for completing the
payment schedule to Upper Moreland as outlined in this packet.
LATE PAYMENT PENALTIES
Since Upper Moreland High School is contracted to make regular payments to
the tour operators, hotels, airlines, etc., prompt student payments as per the
agreed upon schedule is important. A $10.00 late fee will be added to any
payment not received by a deadline date. The complete payment schedule,
including amounts, deadlines, and late fees, is listed on the following page.

In submitting this completed form along with a $350.00 deposit
by September 20, 2013, we wish to register for the 2014 senior class trip.
In addition to this commitment form, we have been provided with information
which outlines what the trip includes, the payment schedule, cancellation policy,
the late payment penalties and trip insurance.
We are aware that any unpaid monies owed due to cancellation or late payment
constitute a financial obligation to the school district, and, if unpaid, are subject to
all associated penalties, including, but not exclusively restricted to participation in
the 2014 commencement exercises.
At the discretion of the high school administration, your child could be prohibited
from the trip due to excessive discipline or attendance issues with no monies
refunded.
Finally, we agree to attend one of the two scheduled one hour meetings
designed to disseminate final trip information, outline behavioral expectations,
and collect emergency medical information. We understand that attendance at
one of these meetings is mandatory and is a pre-requisite for participation in the
trip. We will make arrangements to attend one of the meetings scheduled for
Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 4:30 PM and Monday, March 3, 2014 at 7:00 PM.
We understand that we will receive a letter approximately one month before the
meeting outlining what documents need to be brought to the meeting.

*All seniors and their parents/guardians are reminded that they must attend a
mandatory pre-trip meeting. Two are scheduled for the convenience of the
families. Attendance at one is required; however, the student and the
parent/guardian may attend different meetings if schedules require. If there is a
problem with these dates, the parent/guardian must call Ms. Perisho (215-8301500) immediately. The meeting dates are Sunday, March 2, 2014 at 4:30 PM
and Monday, March 3, 2014 at 7:00 PM.
