Satellite Beach Police Department Volunteer Program Satellite Beach is known for their volunteers who want to make a difference and give back to the community. Our existing police volunteer presence and support have provided a solid contribution to our quality of life. Because of our volunteers, we are able to provide a wider range of services (Citizens on Patrol; House Checks; Marine Patrol; ATV Beach Patrol and Special Events) for our residents and extend police visibility as the volunteers patrol the neighborhoods. In order to be a volunteer you must possess a Florida Drivers License, successfully pass a background check and be able to donate 2 hours a week. If you are interested, submit a completed volunteer application and contact Barbara Holland at (321) 773-4400 for an appointment. Stop By & Say Hi Program: The Satellite Beach Police Department Volunteer Program also provides a beneficial program titled “Stop By & Say Hi” where our volunteers literally do just that with our Satellite Beach City residents. We become a good friend who cares, is close by, and we brighten a day as we share laughter during our weekly social visits. Our compassionate volunteers let our residents know they are not forgotten and that we sincerely care in Satellite Beach. The program is free of charge and confidential. There are no requirements to participate. The resident can be of any age or background who would simply enjoy having someone to talk to while they reminisce about the good old days. We encourage you to recommend someone you know to Linda Harlow at [email protected] or call the Satellite Beach Police Department: (321) 773-4400. A referral form is located at City Hall or the SB Police Station. It is also available online at www.satellitebeach.org.
