Oxidation increases oil viscosity, leading to the formation of products whose deposits on
the pistons may be potentially harmful. As shown in the chart, low oil oxidation results in
cleaner pistons.
The tests were carried out on engines under severe testing conditions, and demonstrated
that eni’s technology is able to control both critical parameters.
