The presenter will be Ben Barkin, who has worked on more than 30 organic farms around the world and in 2008 founded his company, Home Harvest – which designs, installs and maintains organic edible gardens in the greater Boston area. He will talk about what it takes to develop and maintain soil health and how that relates to plant growth, the fundamentals of organic gardening, and how to properly take a soil test and interpret the results. The program is free and open to the public. It will be held from 10 am to noon in the Upper Fellowship Hall of the First Church of Christ, Congregational, 25 The Great Rd, Bedford. We hope that some of you may be interested in attending. Thanks, Carol Amick President, Bedford Garden Club [Ed. Note: There is a free public parking lot next to the Town Hall behind the church. To access it, turn left on Mudge Way as you enter Great Road, then take the first left next to the police station.] [Additional Note: You may want to check out the Home Harvest blog/Facebook page at http://homeharvest.biz/blog/ ] 2
