have developed a system which offers a lean just-in-time answer to managing personal protective
equipment (PPE) and other indirect consumables as part of our commitment to help keep your staff
safe and save you money.
As Experts in Safety we are widely recognised as a provider of
specialist advice through our sales office network and this is
further supported by our training and consultancy division. We
reach our customers through an extensive product catalogue,
interactive website, local Sales Offices and our network of
over 40 Trade Counters. We pride ourselves on providing
customers with great availability, performance and price.
Our point-of-work vending solution will allow you to control
what stock is being used, when and by whom. This is
highly effective and can reduce your consumption of
indirect consumables by an average of 30%, by reducing
waste, stock piling at workstations and petty theft.

and in 2010 we became a member of Sedex, the Supplier
Ethical Data Exchange. We continually support local
communities and charities donating in excess of 1% of
pre-tax profits annually.
As we are members of the BSIF Registered Safety
Suppliers Scheme you can be confident that we will supply
safety equipment which is genuine and compliant with the
relevant standards and regulations. The BSIF monitor and
regulate members of the scheme by conducting regular
standards audits.
Our vending machines are installed in easy to access areas
of your facility and are reachable 24 hours a day. This
means you will see an increase in productivity as there is a
reduction in worker down time. It also means that your key
personnel can concentrate on their jobs rather than supply
management issues taking up their time.

Leasing from Arco
We will develop a leasing agreement to suit you, with
different terms available depending on your specific needs.
Prior to installation we will conduct a detailed usage and
site survey with you to find the most effective option and
number of devices for your business. To get started all we
need from you is a list of the products you are currently
buying and your annual or monthly usage.
We will be able to evaluate your usage over time to ensure
you are getting the most out of your vending system.
Should your business introduce a new production line or
your employees start using a new piece of PPE we can
reconfigure the machines to vend accordingly.
As part of our agreement with you we will arrange to
fill your Arco vending machines at intervals that are
convenient and appropriate to your usage.
We have 250 employees and we found that there was a large amount of
wastage and overuse as we couldn’t accurately record what PPE was being
given out. So far, we have been very pleased with devices and are currently
targeting a 25% reduction in stock use. We have been provided with top

to fill your Arco Vending Machine at intervals
that are appropriate for your usage. The stock
management will be undertaken by our dedicated
team of Inventory Management Co-ordinators.
We use our cloud software to monitor your usage
so our team know exactly how much stock is
needed to replenish.
There is no time consuming ordering process for you or
your management team.
We understand that there might be a level of seasonality
to your work that will mean that your head count and
consumption of PPE will change. That is why we will
work closely with you to create a proposal for stock
replenishments based on your current PPE usage and your
future requirements.

The Arco Vending Machine and Asset Management
Lockers are controlled by the Apex Connect ‘n’ Go
Technology. Data moves seamlessly from the device via an
ethernet, cellular or wireless internet connection.
The device doesn’t require software installations and
there are no Windows based computers, servers or
controllers to install or support. There is nothing for your
IT department to maintain so their work levels will be
unaffected once the internet access has been provided
and the machines are up and running.

All traffic between the devices and the server is encrypted
using AES128. Each of the Arco Vending Machines initiate
a ‘heartbeat’ every 30 minutes so should there be an issue
with the machine or your internet connection we will know
almost instantaneously.
Accurate, real-time usage, and inventory information is
available anytime, anywhere from your browser or mobile.
We provide full training so you can get the most out of
our system.

Arco Vending Machine
Each Arco Asset Management Locker can stand
alone or work as a slave unit attached to the Arco
vending machine. In either case the machine is
managed by a controller with either a key pad or an
ID scanner, see opposite. One stand alone controller
can run up to three lockers.
The Arco Vending Machine is a rugged,
versatile, and easy-to-use automated dispenser
which tracks, manages, and controls PPE and
other indirect consumable usage at the point-ofwork. This robust machine is designed to deliver
an outstanding performance even in
harsh environments.
A standard Arco Asset Management Locker comes with
18 compartments. However, depending on the size of the
items being stored, this can be modified to a maximum
of 36 compartments by converting a three compartment
section into a six compartment section
Items are dispensed through the helical system which is
reliable and is easy to configure. We will work closely with
you prior to installation to ensure that all Arco vending
machines are configured in the most efficient way possible
to dispense all your PPE requirements.
The Arco Asset Management Locker can also be
customised depending on what is being stored. If an item
such as a drill needs charging is being stored we can
construct the locker to ensure the item can be plugged in.
A compartment can also be programmed to shut down
after an item is returned. This is particularly useful when
dealing with PPE such as harnesses which need to be
inspected after use.
User access
There are a variety of different ways that machines can
be accessed:
Users scan their ID card or enter a unique ID number into
the key pad attached to the device and our software,
which manages all aspects of the machine functionality,
identifies who the user is.
Each user account can be restricted to what products
they can have access to and how often they can vend. By
limiting what products in the machine a user can access
we can ensure:
