FSC Board Meeting Minutes
November 9, 2014
Meeting was called to order at 432pm.
Present were Jeff Hayner, Toni Green, Sarah Hasken, Sara Shockey, Katelyn Copus, Lisa
Redington, Missy Namio, Heidi Ludolph and Gzime Yoder. Absent was George Yarzak.
Approved by unanimous consent were the October 2014 minutes.
Approved by unanimous consent were the October 2014 Financials.
OLD BUSINESS:
 MEE/Sporstplex Status- No update on the sale to the Freeport Park District. Bill Green
offered to store the 3v3 goals. Jeff Hayner would like to set up a post season clean up of
Sportsplex. He will send out an email regarding November 15th 10:00am – 12:00pm.
 2014 FASA- For FASA to continue in the Spring of 2014 there needs someone who is
willing to organize the season. Registration/ Parent’s meeting should be scheduled
around March 20th. It usually begins the last two weeks of April and last seven weeks. It
was suggested to use a different uniform vendor and different photographer.
 Sterling Indoor Facility/Tournaments- Jeff Hayner made a motion for FSC to pay the
$75 for teams participating in the Sterling Indoor Tournament. Heidi Ludolph seconded
the motion. All present were in favor. Motion to pay the $75 Sterling Indoor
Tournament Fee was approved.
 Open Bible & FMS 3v3 League- A meeting was held regarding Open Bible. It was
attended by Bill Green, Sarah Hasken, Steve Grunewald, Chris Shockey and Sara
Shockey. Players would only come one night a week. They would work on foot skills
while a 3v3 game is going on and then switch. More information to come.
 FSC By-laws- We need to review our by-laws
 Consideration for Payments(Fee Waivers)-In order to attract more (reliable) volunteers
should we look at providing a fee reduction for positions such as head coach ($300),
assistant coach ($150), board member($100), or team manager($75). We need to
continue this conversation.
NEW BUSINESS:
 FMS Athletics &FSC Button Machine-There is a potential partnership with FMS to utilize
our button machine for their upcoming athletics. Sara Shockey will be taking basketball
pictures on November 17th.
 Spring 2015High School Boys Team- Are there enough players interested in forming a
team? Do we have enough interest? Who will coach? More information is needed.
 2015 Board Calendar of Events-Sarah Hasken suggested a calendar with FSC projects
and events to help build a 2015 calendar of events for FSC.
 2015 Coaches Meeting- The meeting is usually the end of January.
 FSC Adult Bowling Night-Saturday, March 14th at 4 Season’s Bowling. Registration is
8:30pm and bowling begins at 9:00pm. Cost is $30 per couple or $15 for individual.
Shoes are included. Pass along the info.
 FSC Player Appreciation Bowling Night – We need to use the 200 person bowling
certificate purchased at the 2013 Pretzel Bash. Possible dates for the event could be
December 27th or January 3rd .
 2015 FSC Board Members-All 2015 Board Members will begin in January 2015. All
members for the 2015 will be confirmed at the December 2014 meeting. The January
2015 is when voting is done for officer positions.
ADJOURNMENT:
Jeff Hayner made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 6:01pm. Heidi Ludolph seconded the
motion. All present were in favor. Motion passed. Meeting adjourned.
