Hi, my name is Renee!

Some of our educators from Garden Suburbs have sent in small bio’s so families
can get to know their faces, names and a little bit about them before the opening
day . We are excited to have such an amazing team coming together!
Hi, my name is Renee!
I’ve been in the Early Childhood Industry for 4 years
and I have completed my Certificate III in
Children’s Services and my Diploma of Early
Childhood Education and Care.
I have grown up in Forbes, a small country
town which I was born in and moved to
Newcastle in June to begin the next
chapter in my life with my partner Gavin
who is from England.
My hobbies include photography,
scrapbooking, baking, reading and being
outdoors. I love to go on Nature bush walks,
beach walks, explore in caves and visit
open gardens.
I wish to create a loving, caring, nurturing
learning environment for your child to feel
safe, secure and supported.
I believe in creating positive interactions
with your child to develop their self-esteem
and allow them to grow, learn and explore.
Each child is unique and should have their
own individuality, cultural background and
beliefs respected and encouraged.
I hope to build strong trusting relationships
with your child and family by providing a sense
of belonging and being welcoming and
friendly.
I look forward to getting to know all of you and
your children 
Hi, my name is Mel!
Hello Families my name is Melanie Austin, I am married to Dave and we have three
beautiful children Lachlan 13, Mia 11 and Zavier 5.
I have worked in Early Childhood for over ten years. I have a degree in Bachelor of
Teaching (Early Childhood). I have a diverse range of experience, including working
with children from 6weeks old to 12 years of age. I have been a room leader in a centre

Over the past 5 years I have had a successful business as a family day carer.
I am now ready to return to a large centre and begin an exciting journey with My Kindy,

as individuals.
My interests include being with my family, outdoor activities such as riding bikes and
roller blading. I do have a confession I am a dog lover and obsessed with Pugs…we
have the most adorable pug and his name is Frankie……
I am looking forward in getting to know all of you and I cannot wait to start this new
exciting journey with you and your precious children.
Please do not hesitate to say “Hi Mel” and ask me any questions about your child.
