(The other children run to Susan.)
Lily:
What’s that?
Susan:
I don’t know.
Kenny:
Let me see. There’s something inside.
( Kenny takes something out.)
Ah! It’s a map! There are many drawings on it.
Fred:
It seems there are many hills.
Susan:
What about this? It’s in the middle of the hills.
Fred:
It looks like a lake.
Lily:
What’s that one in the lake? It looks like a tail of a big
fish.
Kenny:
I’ve an idea! Let’s find out what they are!
Fred:
Wow! I think it’ll be very exciting.
Susan:
No! No! No! I’m afraid! It’ll be very dangerous!
Fred:
Don’t worry. We’ll be with you!
Lily:
Come with us, Susan. We’re good friends. We’ll help
each other!
Susan:
No! No! No!
Kenny:
Don’t worry, Susan. You’ll be OK! Let's go together! We’ll
protect you! Let’s go home and pack our bags.
Owl:
At the same time a witch behind the tree sees that the
children have found the map.
Little Witch:
A lake? Is it the Magic Lake? If people drink its water, they
will come beautiful. Perhaps the children can find it. I
must follow them.
Scene 2 (In the forest)
Owl:
The next day, the children go on their
exciting trip.
(The children are chatting.)
Unknown voice:
Help!
Help!
Susan:
Hey, did you hear someone’s calling for help?
(The children keep quiet.)
F & L:
Yes.
Kenny:
Let's go and see what happened.
(The children walk towards the sound.)
Susan:
(Scream) Ah! There's a monster in a trap!
Unicorn:
Help me, please! Help me, please!
Lily:
Let’s save him! He’s so poor!
Susan:
No! No! No! He’s dangerous! He’ll hurt us!
(Unicorn looks at them in tears.)
Unicorn:
Help me, please! Help me! Help me!
Fred:
Don’t worry, Susan. He looks friendly.
Lily:
Let’s help him. You see, he’s so poor!
Susan:
No! No! No!
Kenny:
We’ll protect you, Susan. OK!
(Susan nods in agreement.)
Susan:
OK.
(The children save the unicorn out of the trap.)
Unicorn:
Thank you for your help. You’re so nice!
Fred:
Hi, I’m Fred.
Lily:
I’m Lily.
Kenny:
I’m Kenny.
(Susan is afraid at first, but when she sees the unicorn is
so friendly, she greets it with a smile.)
Susan: `
Hi, I’m Susan.
Unicorn:
Where are you going?
Fred:
We want to find a place where there are many hills. Do
you know where it is?
Unicorn:
Yes, I saw many hills before in the north.
L,S,F,K:
That’s great! Let’s go!
Squirrel:
The adventure continues with a new friend. They
don’t know the witch is following them. They walk
and walk and are very tired.
Lily:
I’m so hungry. Is there any food left?
Susan:
No, we ate it all.
Unicorn:
Hey, look! There are some carrots over there. Let’s get
some and eat.
(The children get the carrots and eat.)
Susan:
Shhh!
It's a little bit scary here.
Kenny:
Watch out!
Fred:
Oh no!
Don’t move!
Lily:
HELP!
HELP!
It’s a snake!
(Lily is so scared and run.)
Lily:
Aaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!!
Susan:
Oh, my goodness! Lily fell into a hole!
(The other children and the unicorn run towards the
hole.)
S,F,K,Unicorn: Lily! Lily!
Susan:
What should we do? She didn’t answer!
Fred:
Let me go down and see.
Kenny:
Let’s go with you, so that we can help.
Susan:
No! No! No! I don’t want to go! I’m so scared!
Kenny:
Be brave. Lily is our friend. We must go to find her. She’s
in danger now!
Unicorn:
Don’t be afraid, Susan. Let’s go together.
Kenny:
Susan, You’ll be Ok!
Susan:
OK.
(The children slide down the hole.)
Scene 3 (In the hole)
Susan:
It’s so dark! I can’t see anything! Where are you?
F, K,Unicorn:
We’re here.
Unicorn:
Don’t be afraid, Susan. I’m just behind you.
(Suddenly they see a light.)
Kenny:
Look! There’s a light! Let’s go and see.
(The children go out of the darkness and look around.)
Fred:
There are so many rocks.
Susan:
Yes, so many.
Kenny:
It seems that I’ve seen them before.
I remember! It’s in the map!
Kenny:
The things we want to find must be nearby! Let’s find.
Fred:
Look! It’s a mirror!
Susan:
Yes. It’s not a lake! It’s a big mirror!
(Think)
(The children are so excited and Kenny tries to get
the mirror. )
Little Witch:
It’s mine! Don’t touch!
(The Little Witch appears. She caught Lily when she
fell into the hole. )
Lily:
Help! Help!
(The Little Witch pushes Lily to the children and Lily
is very weak.)
Kenny:
Who are you?
Little Witch:
I’m the Super Witch. I’ve been following you since you
found the map! Ha! Ha!
Fred:
We found the mirror first! We won’t let you get it.
Little Witch:
Can you? Ha! Ha!.
Susan:
Oh, I feel sick.
Kenny:
My tummy hurts.
Unicorn:
I feel weak.
Fred:
Me too. What happen?
(The children feel so weak and fall down. )
Little Witch:
Ha! Ha! You’ve eaten the poison carrots. You stupid kids!
You’re going to die! The mirror belongs to me now!
Susan:
No! No! No! Give us the antidote, please. You can take
the mirror!
Little Witch:
I’m sorry! There’s no antidote.
(The Little Witch tries to take the mirror. The images
in the mirror begin to speak to her.)
Old Witch:
Dear my daughter, we are your parents.
Little Witch:
(Very surprised) What? You are my parents? No, you tell
lies. They all died when I was small!
Old Witch:
No. We did many evil things when you were very small.
We killed many people and animals.
Old Wizard:
We even killed all the unicorns in this hill! The Fairy
Queen caught us and put us in this mirror. We regret what
we did.
Unicorn:
Oh, it’s you! You killed my parents!
Little Witch:
Mummy and Daddy, I’ll set you free!
(The Little Witch fails to pull her parents out of the
mirror. )
Old Witch:
It’s no use. Only someone who is truly kind and brave can
set us free!
Little Witch:
I don’t believe!
(The Little Witch tries again but she fails. She is so
sad.)
Little Witch:
Mummy and daddy, I miss you so much! I always see you
in my dream! I remember our happy days when I was
young! I miss you! I miss you!
(The Little Witch cries and cries. The children are
sympathy on her and they feel sad too. )
Unicorn:
I get your feelings because I also have no parents.
Kenny:
Although you hurt us, I try to help you even though I’m
going to die. But you must promise me that you won’t do
anything bad again!
Little Witch:
I promise! I promise!
Kenny:
Come on, friends. Let’s help.
(Kenny tries to pull the Old Wizard and the Old Witch
out but he is so weak. The other children come to
help but they can’t either.)
Unicorn:
Although your parents killed my family, I’ll help too. A child
without parents is very poor!
(The unicorn tries his very best and hit his horn on
the mirror! His horn sticks onto the mirror! )
Unicorn:
Oh, My horn!
(The unicorn pulls his horn. The Old Witch and the
Old Wizard catch his horn and pull and pull. At last
they are set free!)
Old Witch:
Thank you for helping us! You’re very good and kind.
Little Witch:
Thank you for saving my parents.
Fred:
Oh! We are not dying.
Susan:
We’re strong now!
K,L,Unicorn:
Right!
Old Wizard:
Your kindness is the antidote. You get well now!
K,L,S,F,Unicorn: Yeah!
(All of them are so happy and they sing a song.)
