Cross Fusion Bonding
No sewing is required, so there are no seams to interfere with the smoothness of
the ball's surface structure. The result is a ball with a more responsive and subtle
feel and minimum absorbency, one-fifth that of conventional balls. This prevents
its performance from changing on wet pitches.
New Unified Outer Layer Technology
This surface finishing technology ensures that the surface of the ball is uniform.
The result is with a ball with identical friction at every point and moment of
impact, and more abrasion resistance. This means the ball rotates at a uniform
speed, which contributes to greater accuracy in every shot and pass.
Enhanced multi-layer architecture
When designing VANTAGGIO, we incorporated advanced lamination technology
and adopted the latest mechanical manufacturing techniques. The resulting

Design
The G Series ball is a fusion of tradition and innovation
conceived by Giugiaro design. It is packed with ground
breaking Molten technology to enhance Player

Official Ball of the International Basketball Federation
(FIBA) and FIBA Europe.

Design
Several years ago, when the project to create a new basketball design
got underway, as part of its research, the Giugiaro Design Team
interviewed two players that had left their mark on Italian basketball
history. Both had sharply contrasting opinions about changing the
design.
"A change in the basketball design will bring new life to a sport that
has millions of fans around the world!"
"The basketball design should never change no matter how much the
times change!"
Such emotional attachment for something as simple as a basketball.
Such diverging opinions.
Follow tradition? Innovate?
"Yes" was the answer to both questions. The Giugiaro Design Team
had to create a final product that married these two contrasting ideals.
The characteristic panels and seams of a traditional ball remain the
same. But what has changed is the visual impact from the two bands
of colour that stretch around the ball. The warm colour contrast
enhances visibility and expresses a feeling of rapid but graceful
movement.
The Molten G-Series design maintains traditional elements while
enhancing visual and tactile experiences. Approved by FIBA as an
official game ball, it is a revolution in design today that will set the
standard tomorrow.

Molten Flat-Pebble Surface
We've modified the usual pebble surface into a flatter finish.
The result? Increased area of contact, giving you grip and
control like you've never experienced.
Molten Full-Flat Seam
We've flattened the seams between panels so that no
matter where you hold the ball, you always get a
consistent backspin for stable, accurate shooting and
passing.

Size really matters importantly ONE SIZE DOES NOT FIT ALL.
When it comes to playing basketball the size of your ball
really matters. Not only do basketballs vary in size but also
in weight – the bigger the ball the heavier it is, so it is very
important that coaches, teachers and parents make sure
they select the right size of ball for their players or children.
It is all too easy to destroy the enthusiasm of a new player –
young or old - if they are given a ball to play with which is
either too big or too small. And of course, playing with the
correct size ball can improve your game.
Experienced and professional players need to ensure they
play with the correct ball sizes too if they want to compete
to the best of their abilities., So the following rule is worth
remembering:
Size 7 for male players aged 14+
Size 6 for female players aged 14+
Size 6 for both male and female players aged 11-14
Size 5 for Key Stage 2 - 7-11 year olds
Size 3 for Key Stage 1 - 5-7 year olds
Basketball @ School
If you are running a basket ball session with Boys and Girls
or different age groups using different size balls then finding
the correct size when they are all the same colour can be a
problem. Why not use different colours to help identify the
balls on the court.

Flight Stability Technology
FLISTATEC brings a revolutionary change to the
conventional concept of volleyball and will make the
game more exciting than ever.
Original Design
Visibility was improved by placing three streamlined
panels on each side of the volleyball in a combination
with Molten's original colour patterns. The colour white
can be easily recognized in any type of environment. Yet
when adding a combination of red and green colours to
this streamlined panel design the FLISTATEC volleyball
visually creates a smoother rotating motion. This
original design represents the flame in the letter "O" in
the word Molten, symbolizing passion for the game.

Wind Tunnel Test
We conducted scientific analysis of the air current over
the surface of the ball. As suspected, we discovered that
the irregular air current around the ball negatively
influenced the flight path of the ball. We then continued
lab testing, until we succeeded in developing a new
technology call "FLISTATEC", which stands for "FLIGHT
STABILITY TECHNOLOGY". With FLISTATEC, we were able
to achieve a stabilized flight path by controlling the air
disturbance around the ball through the placement of
raised hexagon shaped designs on the surface of the
ball.
Volleyball
Flight Stability Test
We conducted a flight stability test using a volleyball
shooting machine and analysed the dropping points.
Below you will find a comparison of dropping points of a
FLISTATEC ball and a traditional ball. You may observe
that the number of irregular flight patters is significantly
reduced with the FLISTATEC volleyball and that the
dropping points are more consistent compared to that
of the traditional ball.

consistency.
Super soft composite leather with micro-soft layer. Micro-fibre ensures that the synthetic ball
is as soft as a genuine leather ball. It absorbs perspiration as well as genuine leather, while
keeping the surface dry (in fact, better than genuine leather).
Rubber layer. Molten's rubber cover layer is fused with a thread-woven lower layer to create
better feel and durability.
Nylon wound. A unique Molten idea, With this unique technology, the thread-woven
construction achieves an ideal soft touch.
Dual-layer laminated butyl bladder. Our butyl bladder has extremely low
air-permeability to prevent leakage.
Bladders
Butyl bladder Characteristics:
Low levels of air leakage lets you keep the air pressure at a more constant level.
Best for use on hard surfaces.
Latex bladder Characteristics:
Soft, bouncy, ideal for use on grass. Latex rubber has greater air permeability than butyl rubber,
meaning that the air slowly seeps out over time.
Sports balls with latex bladders need to be inflated before use.
