Please see me immediately if you would still like to go. As we enter this Easter season, please share the joy and love of Jesus with your friends and neighbors. Invite them to church. It might make an eternal difference in their lives. Bible Study Corner So many good things are happening in Bible Study. We have two topical studies, Does God Exist and Not a Fan, small groups, transformation groups, women’s Bible studies and a place for everyone in traditional Bible study classes. I hope you will join us and invite someone to come with you. Why is it important to study the Bible? God’s Word is able to teach us the truth, bless our lives, give us victory, cause us to grow, provide us with the power we need to live and follow Jesus, and guide us when we don’t know what to do. Come study with us! This week’s command is to keep your word from Matthew 5:33-37. Keeping your word is the essence of integrity. Why? Because keeping your word is required for trust, influence and impact. Keeping our word can sometimes be difficult, expensive and inconvenient, but the cost of not doing so is even more expensive. It is displeasing to God. Back Pack Ministry We are in need of canned chicken. Thank you for your continued support of this ministry. Hungry kids thank you for expressing your love to them each week! May Clermont Women On Mission The May Clermont WOM would like to invite women and their husbands to a Pot Luck lunch on March 21 at 11:45 a.m. in the Fellowship Hall, to hear Brother Randy talk about his January trip to Ukraine. Chi Alpha News Music Musings Ronna Paden, Director of Music Gift and Power of Song Songs have a way of getting into our heads and not letting go. Hearing certain songs may prompt us to bring to mind places and people in our past. The spoken word is wonderful, but words coupled with a tune sticks with us. Think about the following great hymns and the scripture that inspired them. Amazing Grace (John 9:25) “He answered and said, whether he be a sinner or no, I know not: one thing I know, that whereas I was blind, now I see.” Great is Thy Faithfulness (Genesis 8:22) “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.” (Lamentations 3:22-23) “It is of the LORD'S mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” I Know Whom I Have Believed (2 Timothy 1:12) “For the which cause, I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.” Scripture talks about songs that were sung by God's people on a number of occasions. Moses' sister Miriam sings a song of praise when God leads the Israelites across the Red Sea. Hannah sings her prayer as she gives her son Samuel to the Lord for service in the tabernacle. Mary sings a song when she hears from the angel that she is to have a child. There are others, too, such as Deborah and Simeon. And we can't forget David, one of the great singers of the Bible. All of these men and women knew that at times of great joy or sadness they could sometimes express themselves most fully in a song. Don't Forget..... The opportunity is yours to join our Easter choir that will be singing in the traditional service on Easter morning. We are rehearsing this music for the first 30 minutes of our regular choir rehearsal time on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. You may not be available to sing every Sunday, but could make a short term commitment to sing in our Easter choir. You are most welcome to join us. I Am a Church Member You are probably wondering who should attend this class. The answer is EVERYONE. This is not just a class for new Christians. It is a class for all of us to find out what is required of us as a member of Fee Fee Baptist Church. A sign-up sheet is posted by the choir room. On Sunday, March 26, immediately following the 11:00 a.m. service, we will go down to the dining room for a free lunch and Pastor will teach us what is required of a church member. You won’t want to miss this seminar. Childcare will be provided if you indicate you need it.
