The following are the Technical specification for Thermal Roll:Weight

purposes.
Watermarks or UV Ink mark or hologram strips engraved at one
side of the roll etc. as required and directed by NHAI from time to
time. (To be mentioned specifically in the quotations being
submitted by you)
Security
measures
The terms and conditions for above said work is as under:
1.0 Earnest Money Deposit: Rs.5,000/- in the form of D.D. in favour of National
Highways Authority of India payable at Dhanbad.
1.1 The E.M.D. of the other Quotationers will be returned after issuing of Work Order
to the successful Quotationer. The E.M.D. of the successful Quotationer shall be
substituted by the performance security as detailed further below.
1.2 In case the successful Quotationer backs out after opening of quotations the EMD
of Rs.5,000/- shall be forfeited.
2. Last Date of Submission –25.08.09 upto 12.00 hrs.
3. Date of Opening – 25.08.09 at 15.30 hrs.
4. Period for supply: The contract period for supply of pre-printed thermal rolls is for a
period of 12 (Twelve) months from the date of issue of work order.
5. Price to be quoted inclusive of all taxes including service tax, duties, levies and
cartage etc.
6. The right to reject any or all quotation is reserved with Project Director, PIU
Dhanbad.

7. Each Quotationers should clearly specify that the Quotationers agrees to abide by
the conditions of this Quotation notice on their printed letter head indicating
thereon Sales Tax Registration, PAN number, FAX, E-mail, Telephone numbers,
etc.
8. The rates quoted by the Quotationer shall be valid till 60 days from date of opening
of quotations.
9. The approximate no. of rolls needed per month is 450 rolls for user fee plaza at
Sawkala (Km. 200.100) and 425 rolls for user fee plaza at Rasoiya Dhamna
(Km.279.425) on NH-2. The Quantity of Rolls mentioned above may increase or
decrease based upon actual requirement at site. The contract for Supply of Thermal
Rolls may be extended beyond 12 (Twelve) months based upon Performance of the
Agency.
10. You are also informed to mention in the quotation regarding delivery time required
for supply on placing orders.
11. The specimen format required to be pre-printed on the backside of the thermal rolls
to be supplied is as per Annexure. The matter is provided in English language. The
pre-printed matter shall be printed in two language i.e. English and Hindi to fit in the
above single ticket size i.e., 8cm x 12cm.
12. The sealed quotations duly super-scribing “Quotations for Supply of pre-printed thermal
rolls for User fee plazas at Sawkala & Rasoiya Dhamna on NH-2” shall be submitted as
per schedule time and date at Sl.no.2. The same shall be opened as per scheduled
time and date at Sl.no.3 in the presence of the agency or its representatives.
13. The agency shall submit EMD as per Sl.no.1 in the form of demand draft issued by
any nationalized banks in favour of “National Highways Authority of India” payable
at Dhanbad in a separate cover duly super-scribing the “Quotations for Supply of preprinted thermal rolls – EMD” alongwith the above quotation.
14. The successful agency shall deposit performance security equivalent to the amount
towards supply of thermal rolls for one month requirement as per the rate quoted by
the agency in the form of Demand Draft issued by any nationalized banks in favour
of National Highways Authority of India payable at Dhanbad.
15. During the entire contract period, if the agency fails to match any of the technical
specification mentioned above, the National Highways Authority of India, Dhanbad
shall forfeit the performance security furnished by the agency forthwith and cancel
the work order without any notice and without assigning any reasons thereof.
