ECC,alsoknownasearlychildhoodtoothdecayorcavities,isadestructive,yet preventable,formoftoothdecayinyoungchildren,particularlythoselivingin disadvantagedpopulations.Manitobaexperiencesexcessivedemandandwaittimesfor pediatricdentalsurgeryundergeneralanesthesia.Thisburdenandtheneedforeffective preventionandsustainableoralhealthpromotionstrategiesledtothedevelopmentofthe HSHCpartnership.
