Give science background; read/discuss The Cloud Book, by Tomi DiPaolo. 2. Have students examine the 3 types of clouds on the Smart Board and read the descriptions of the weather they bring. 3. Students will choose on type of cloud and glue cotton balls onto the blue paper in the shape of that type of cloud. 4. Have students show their picture to a partner who will predict the weather from the picture and communicate what they know. Formative Assessment Tasks Observe students work with a partner. Use critical thinking skills to guide students towards concluding that different types of clouds bring different types of weather.
