On the 13th May, in Venice, a new concept for cultural enjoyment will be launched. VivaVivaldi show – which
marksanimportantmilestoneinthenationalandinternationalculturaloffer-isanimmersiveandmulti-sensory
exhibition on the Venetian musician Antonio Vivaldi (Venice, 1678 – Vienna, 1741), one of the greatest Italian
Baroquecomposers, renowned for"TheFourSeasons",themostperformedconcertintheworld.VivaVivaldi will
opentothepubliconSaturday,13thMayinthehallsoftheMuseoDiocesanoinVenice,justafewstepsawayfrom
theBasilicaofSanMarco.
“VivaVivaldiTheFourSeasonsMystery"isauniqueandoriginalartisticeventintheglobalculturallandscape,asitis
creating a new form of expression: music and sounds are combined with images, and all of the visitor’s senses –
sight,sound,smellandalsotouch–areengaged.
This amazing cultural itinerary will start in the beautiful cloister of S. Apollonia, where the words written by the
ItalianpoetDavideRondoni,artdirectoroftheshow,willguidetheaudienceintoaspectacularjourneyintothelife
oftheVenetiancomposer.“Restlessreligiousnessforthegreatmysteryofnatureandlife:thisiswhatVivaldihasto
communicatetocontemporaryaudiences-saysRondoni-Hisamazingcreativitystemsfromhisrestlessness”.
LightsandmusicwillmergetogetheratthefirstflooroftheMuseoDiocesano.Here,inthefirstroom,visitorswill
actually enter into the image, they will be wrapped by it and find themselves into the Red Priest's mind,
experiencingeverythingVivaldithoughtandfeltwhilecomposing:colours,smells,noise,thelagoon,thesoundsof
hisVenice,includingthenoiseofanoarsailingacrossthewater,thepaceofagondolaandpeoplechatteringonthe
streets.
Inanotherroomofthemuseum,thelanguageofcinemawillbetheprotagonist,withthevideodirectedbyMarco
Pozzi. In his narrative, built around the symbols of a child and a young woman, Vivaldi’s imaginative and creative
power,suspendedbetweenfearandamazement,willemerge.“MyaimwastohighlightbothVivaldi’sconstraints
anddream,hislifeoverwhelmedbywork,butalsohisdesiretotakeeverythingapartandfly"-saysPozzi.
Finally, in the last exhibition room, you will experience an exciting video mapping show. For the first time in the
world, video mapping will be used in an indoor setting, thanks to the combined use of 12 projectors with Dolby
surroundsoundandsomespecialeffects.
Visitorswillbeableto‘feel’theworldaroundthem,astheenvironmentfeaturesandthescentsofthefourseasons
willbereproduced.Thedirectorsandcreatorsofthisexceptionalexperiencearetworenownedexpertsintheuse
of the most advanced technologies applied to spectacular artistic events: the French Jean-François Touillaud and
GillesLedos.“Wetried-theysay-totranslateVivaldi’sgeniusintolightandimages.Nowadays,technologyisable
tosetemotionsonfire,bycombiningmusicwithnature.ThiscombinationhascharacterisedbothAntonioVivaldi’s
lifeandVenice,whichisanemotionandafeeling”.
Visitorswillbeaccompaniedbymusicthroughthis40-minutesjourneyindiscoveringthelifeandworkofthegreat
virtuoso violinist. The soundtrack is a fusion - along an original music path - of Vivaldi’s compositions and
“innovative caesuras” specially composed by the Italian composer Cristian Carrara. “I wanted to find the musical
pieces that most suited the human aspects highlighted by the storyboard by Davide Rondoni” - says Carrara -
Visitors to the exhibition will not visit a museum of Vivaldi, instead, they will experience our interpretation of
Vivaldi'smusic,embeddedinhispersonality.MusicspeaksaboutVivaldihimself,indeed”.
VivaVivaldi is inspired by an idea of Francesco Bernardi, an Italian engineer with a passion for art and art
communication,aswellasthePresidentofEmotionalExperiences,thecompany–basedinBologna-producerof
theevent.“Culturehastospeaktothosewhoenjoyit-saysBernardi-Wedothisusingthreekeywords:history,
simplicityandwonder.Thiskindofexhibitionisnotanalternativetotheartexhibitionscelebratingauthors’original

This new event dedicated to Red Priest of Venice was created thanks to the expertise and experience of a large
team led by the CEO of Emotional Experience, Gianpiero Perri, who – among other things during his career - has
workedwithCarloRambaldi,three-timeOscarwinner.“With‘VivaVivaldi,TheFourSeasonsMystery’,weintendto
launch, both on the national and international scene, a new concept for cultural enjoyment, which will arouse
people’scuriositytogainbetterknowledgeofthepersonalityandworkofthisgreatmusician,fromapoetic,artistic
andspectacularperspective".
