We hope you have a wonderful time. Consider costumes unnecessary as this tournament is deadly serious and we are always professional.
Date: October 25-26, 2013
Location: Hunter High School (4200 South 5600 West, West Valley City, Utah)
Events: Individual Events including Impromptu, National and Foreign Extemp, Oratory, Spar, HI, DI, Duo. Students may double enter at their own
risk. No accommodations will be made by the tournament. No one in extemp may double enter.
Debate Events include Policy, LD, Public Forum, and Congress
Divisions: Novice and Open in all events. Divisions of less than ten will be collapsed.
On Friday, October 25th:
Registration begins at 2:30 p.m.
Round I of I.E.’s begins at 3:00. Extempers always draw first and speak thirty minutes later.
Round II of I.E.’s begins at 4:30.
Dinner Break runs until 6:30 p.m.
Round III of I.E.’s begins at 6:30 p.m.
Awards will follow ASAP.

On Saturday, October 26 :
Round I of Debate begins at 8:00 a.m.
Session 1 of Congress begins at 8:00 a.m.
Round II of Debate begins at 9:30 a.m.
Session 2 of Congress begins at 12:00 noon
Round III of Debate begins at 11:00 a.m.
Round IV of Debate begins at 12:30 p.m.
Judge Requirements:
Each school must bring one judge for every 5 entries on Friday and 1 judge for every 2 policy entries and 4 LD or PF entries on Saturday.
Each school must bring 1 congress judge for every 10 competitors. All judges must be high school graduates with the exception that Varsity
debaters may judge novice debate for this tournament.
Schools are responsible to train their judges for the events they may judge.
If a school fails to meet its judge requirement entries will be pulled from the tournament.
Live judges who render long critiques that delay the tournament may not be so alive at the end of the
day….
Feeding Times:
Food will be available for sale on Friday and between the third and fourth rounds on Saturday.

Fees:
School Fee: $15.00 per day ($30.00 for both days)
CX and PF teams: $7.00
IE, LD, and Congress: $3.50 per entry
