New FTC4 Pre Plumbed Cylinders
In line with the Ecodan migration to the FTC4 controller and all the benefits that brings to the range,
we are pleased to announce a new line-up of FTC4 Pre Plumbed Cylinders, in both standard and solar
configurations. These cylinders replace the existing Kingspan FTC2 cylinders.
The process or migration of the 8 new cylinders from FTC2 to FTC4 will be a gradual one however,
depending on when a particular size of FTC2 cylinder is exhausted from stock.
A number of other changes have been made to the pre plumbed cylinder over the current FTC2
based model in order to further improve the quality, aesthetics and installation flexibility without
increasing the price. Integrating FTC4 controls with our pre plumbed cylinder range provides
superior functionality and ease of operation.
New Components
• FTC4 Controller with integrated immersion heater relay and
intelligent controls
• 2 x Grundfos UPS2 25-60 ‘A Rated’ circulation pumps
• Honeywell 2 port motor open / spring return valves
• TF1 compact filter fitted as standard and included in the price
(previously included as an extra)
• Honeywell spring differential bypass valve fitted as standard
• PAC-TH011-E 2 zone sensors fitted on all models 180L and above
• Dual high limit and control thermistor
• Flow and return thermistors

• Fossil fuel boiler control

• Compatible with either Mitsubishi or third party thermostats
• Intelligent flow temperature control (room compensation)

• SD card commissioning

The new range of Pre Plumbed cylinders retain all of the other key features from the previous
generation of FTC2 based Pre Plumbed cylinders and are available in solar sizes ranging from 210L to
300L and standard versions in sizes ranging from 150L to 300L.
As well as being included in the new ‘Heating for Domestic Applications’ brochure, two Product
Information Sheets are also now available to order via your usual route and have been uploaded to
the Heating website www.heating.mitsubishielectric.co.uk and also Melnet.
