Our Achievements: 2014-2015 What an impressive year of outstanding achievements we have had. With dedication, commitment, drive and determination from both staff and children we have excelled in both sport and the arts. CHILDREN’S UNIVERSITY: An impressive 107 children from year 1 to year 6 graduated with accolades ranging from bronze awards through to degrees. This was the highest number of graduates we have ever had, we couldn’t be more proud of the commitment our children have shown to after school activities displaying their talents and growing as individuals. CHOIR: Our choirs, both Key Stage One and Key Stage Two have performed at many venues throughout the year. At Christmas time we raised £1000 for Cancer Research and £200 for Marie Curie. SPORT: We have an exceptional array of medals, certificates and trophies collated from netball, football, cross country, high 5’s and athletics competitions and tournaments to name but a few. It has been an amazing year for our sporting teams, so much so that other schools fear coming head to head with us!!!! Cross Country: Year 5 minor school winners & Champion of Champion runners up, Year 6 minor school winners and champion of champions, Year 5 boys minor school runners up, Year 6 boys minor schools 3 rd place, small schools girls champions. Children from year 5 & 6 also participated in small schools city championships with both Year 5 & 6 girls teams coming in 3rd place. District Athletics: Our girls team were the overall winners, outstanding! Catholic Schools: Our boys team were merit winners and our girls team were overall champions! Indoor athletics: Children from Year 3, 4, 5 & 6 participated in indoor athletics competitions across the city and qualified as city finalists this year. FOOTBALL: Our Year 6 team came 5th place in the league. Well done! NETBALL & HIGH 5’s: Our netball and high 5’s teams have played many games this year with our high 5 team qualifying as one of the top 4 teams in Merseyside. SWIMMING: Year 2 participated in the KS1 swimming gala and all children from Year 2 -6 participated in swimming lessons. 100% of Year 6 children can now swim at least 25 metres. TENNIS: We have enjoyed accessing coaching from a specialist coach and are delighted to have qualified to access the Liverpool Tennis Roadshow next year. KENSINGTON YOUTH GAMES: Overall winners!! We are delighted to achieve Gold in the School Games Mark again this year for outstanding participation in sport and achievement. A massive thank you to our talented children, dedicated staff and supportive parents and carers who have contributed to all of our successes during this academic year.
