Welcome
We are pleased to present you this Sixth edition of MMM e-CONNECT. The objective of newsletters is to keep
the members informed of the activities in the Mandal, recent developments and future programmes. A feedback
and suggestion from the members is always welcome.
From President’s Desk
Friends,
We are approaching towards end of the term of this team which took over on 28th June 2014 for two years.
This year the Committee has decided to hold Annual General Meeting of Members in first half of May 2016
which will give enough time to the new committee elected in the forthcoming AGM, to prepare for Diwali Ball
2016. Formal notice of meeting will be sent by the Secretary soon. I take this opportunity to thank all the
members for their support to this team for various activities undertaken during the tenor.
No society can run smoothly without active participation and support of members. Mandal is a platform for you
to provide your services to the community. I make an appeal to all the members to spare a small portion of
their valuable time to contribute towards the society.
My sincere thanks to fellow members of the Management Team, who worked hard and put in all possible
efforts to make it a memorable and successful term for Mandal.

Blood Donation drive was done in
association with Singapore Sindhi
Association, Amber Neighborhood
Committee, Singapore Gujarati
Society and Maharastra Mandal
Singapore.
Members

donating blood. Total 63 people
donated their blood on this day.

jointly organized the Holika Dahan
Program at court yard of Sri Sivan
Temple. Pyre was lit after Pujan.
People from Marwari Community
as well as Gujarati Community
participated with their friends and
family.
Traditional Color Playing Event,
Holi, was jointly organized by
Marwari Mitra Mandal (Singapore),
Singapore
Gujarati
Society,
Singapore Sindhi Association and
Maharastra Mandal Singapore
along with Katong CCMC. The
Event was also supported by The
Kamala Club Singapore.
Holika Dahan is symbol of the
victory of Good over Evil. People
gather around the fire and pray.
After
Pujan,
prashad
was
distributed and was received by
more than 1000 persons.
More than 3000 members of
various societies, not only from
Indian Community but other
communities too, gathered to play
Holi with their friends and family.
This was an example of integration
and harmony between various
communities.
