In this small rural town of Heston in beautiful Galena Township begins the
story of Heston Supper Club. In the 1920’s the heart of the community was
centered around this building. The post office stood next door, and the lumber
and grist mills finished materials into marketable products. This building,
although smaller at the time, housed a dairy. As time passed and additions were
constructed, the building evolved into Heston Grocery and Duffy’s Tavern. The
tavern served as a place for the locals to come together, eat, drink and discuss
current events. Over time, the post office and mills disappeared; however the
tavern remained and became known as Heston Bar.
Our Heston story began in 1982, with the purchase of Heston Bar. Over the
past 35 years Heston Bar has evolved into Heston Supper Club, a destination
restaurant with a comfortable casual atmosphere, welcoming guests from all
surrounding areas. Heston Supper Club is dedicated to serving the best in
American fare. Our reputation is built on outstanding food, generous portions,
and friendly professional service. Welcoming our guests with Heston Supper
Club cheese and crackers has become a tradition, and most recently marketed in
our local grocery stores. Award winning prime rib is the house specialty, with cuts
up to two pounds. Our menu features lake perch, Canadian walleye, hand cut
steaks and chops, a wide variety of seafood and our house smoked barbeque fare.
Heston Supper Club has been recognized by the Beef Cattleman’s Association
with the “Best of Beef ” Award and by the Wine Spectator with the “Award of
Excellence”. Our greatest reward however, is the support of the thousands of loyal
guests throughout the years with their return visits.
In 1998, a new opportunity presented itself with the purchase of Galena
Township Elementary School. After six months of extensive renovation, Heston
Hills Event Center was open for business. Heston Hills brings the culinary
expertise of Heston Supper Club to a grander scale. Heston Hills is a fullservice event center offering many unique opportunities including outdoor
weddings on the terrace overlooking the grounds and pond. Heston Hills
provides outstanding food and professional service, with attention to detail, to
make every event a memorable one.
