How to Read this Traffic Control Plan
• The summary on page 3 provides some key points about the route, critical road
impacts and labor needs
• Page 4 provides webpage links to the half marathon, 10k and 5k routes on
Map My Run
• Page 5 – 7 contains screen prints of each of the three routes. Boxes with
dashed lines indicate areas of the map which have been “zoomed in” on
subsequent pages to show traffic control details. The number within each box
corresponds to the map number on the top left of each page.
• Each “zoomed in” map shows police and course monitor placements, barricade
placements, aid station and on course portable bathroom placement and the
direction of runners (see legend on the top right of each numbered map)
• Each numbered map contains text which further details the traffic control
plan and shows the exact amount of time each area will be impacted by
runners.

• Police officers will allow runners to cross Campbell Station Rd. from Parkside to Grigsby Chapel Rd. for 30 minutes from 7:05AM – 7:35AM.
• All runners will return inbound the same way and police officers will assist with “metering”, allowing traffic through the intersection during breaks in the
runners. Cars will not be allowed to make a right from N. Campbell Station Rd. onto Grigsby Chapel Rd., but will be able to make a left onto GCR from
NCSR - other than that, all traffic should be open after 7:35AM.
• All runners will be routed onto the sidewalk at the entrance to the parking lot for Little Bangcock (just pass the Walgreens entrance) and then make a right
onto the Grigsby Chapel Greenway and then a left to go through the neighborhood as shown and re-enter the Grigsby Chapel greenway westbound. The
5k runners will turn around on the greenway. Cones will be set up on Grigsby Chapel from NCSR to the parking lot entrance separating traffic from the
runners and allowing for 2 way traffic for that short stretch.
• An aid station and two portable toilets will be set up just before the 5k turnaround
