North Chicago, IL 60064 April 2015 Printed in USA ? What Is the AbbVie Compound Toolbox? Are There Any Restrictions? Who May Request Compounds? The AbbVie Compound Toolbox consists of potent, selective, well characterized tool compounds or probes that can be utilized to conduct preclinical research. Compounds may be used to explore specific targets, pathways, or assays of interest to the requesting investigator. Compounds are provided in 5 mg quantities and up to twenty different compounds may be ordered at a time. Any research investigator from academic, industrial, government and non-profit organizations are welcome to submit requests. We require that the investigator’s institution provides us with a signed Material Transfer Agreement, available at our site. We provide the compounds free of charge to the scientific community as part of our commitment to facilitate innovative research to improve the quality of life for patients. How Do I Submit a Request for a Compound? Compounds may be ordered directly from our website. Once compounds are selected for ordering and placed into a shopping cart an account is required for further processing. The requestors are also required to submit a brief non-confidential description on how they intend to use the compounds and provide a signed Material Transfer Agreement (MTA) by the investigator. A compound may not be ordered more than two times. If larger amounts of materials are required, special arrangements might be possible at the discretion of AbbVie. How Long Will It Take to Receive the Compounds? AbbVie is committed to providing the compounds in an expedited manner. Typically materials will be shipped within 2-3 weeks upon receipt of request and signed Material Transfer Agreement. AbbVie covers material and shipment costs (not including VAT, where applicable).
