2016 INTRAMURAL BOWLING
Registration and Event Information

Thursday, September 22 at 8:00 AM through Thursday, October 6 at 11:59 PM on
IMLeagues.com.
Event Date:
Saturday, October 15 at Colonial Lanes
League Format:
Teams will play three scratch games without any handicaps. The team with the highest final
total score wins. All scores will be recorded with Colonial Lanes scoring programs.
Sport Description
This October, Intramural Bowling is back! It’s time to line the pins up and knock them down in this team competition
event. What better way to spend a Saturday evening than Intramural Bowling for a chance to win an Intramural Champion
T-shirt and hang out with your friends. Teams of four will compete against other teams to accumulate the highest total
team score over a combined three games. This event will be held at Colonial Lanes so grab some friends and put your
bowling skills to the test!
Important Information
1. To participate in Intramural Sports, a UI Student, Faculty, Staff or Affiliate must purchase an Intramural Sports
Membership. This $20.00/semester membership allows you to participate in almost any Intramural sport/event that
semester. There is no cost to register a team, but team members must purchase the Intramural Sports Membership
before joining/creating a team.
2. Before the start of the tournament, each player must present a valid UI or government-issued photo ID to participate.
3. Teams must have four players to complete registration and all players will bowl three games each. All 12 scores will
be added together, and the team with the highest score from all three games combined will be crowned champion.
4. Teams will have two hours and 15 minutes to complete their three games. If unable to complete their games in the
given time limit, their scores will be tallied at the point at which time expired.
5. This competition will be held at Colonial Lanes. This is still a University event which means Alcohol and Tobacco use is
prohibited while participating.
6. In order to receive Co-Rec Coach’s Corner Intramural Sports Points Championship points, teams must have two men
and two women signed-in and participating in the event at all times. More information on the Coach’s Corner

7. Bowling will be scratch and no handicaps will be used.
8. Any forfeit/no-show will result in a $50 Forfeit Fine. This fine is charged to the University Bill of the team captain.
9. Want to play but don’t have a team? You can join as a Free Agent on IMLeagues.com if you have paid the Intramural
Membership Fee, or you can join our Free Agent Group on Facebook by searching “Iowa Intramural Sports Free
Agents” to connect with other people looking for players to form a team. Listing yourself as a Free Agent does not
guarantee that you will have a team.
