ON-CAMPUS PROGRAMS
Choose a career with
special impact.
BACHELOR OF ARTS IN
SNHU has an excellent reputation for preparing teachers. After
spending many hours working one-on-one with students during
your first three years, you will complete a yearlong student teaching
internship. You will have the support of an SNHU faculty member, a
university supervisor, and a veteran teacher as they help you develop
the skills and confidence needed to become an effective teacher. You
also have access to school districts that are hiring when you attend the
annual education major job fair.
Special Education program
students have participated
in experiential learning
experiences or student
teaching at these New
Hampshire schools:
•Alvirne High School
•Auburn Village School
•Chester Academy
•Concord High School
Successfully completing the SNHU Special Education program makes
you eligible to become certified to work with students in kindergarten
through grade 12. You may choose to work as a special education
teacher in a self-contained classroom, in an inclusive setting with
general education teachers, or as a case manager.
With a shortage of special education teachers in NH, earning
certification in general special education can place you in high
demand in the education job market. The SNHU Special Education
program prepares you to enter this field and make a difference in
children’s lives.
