MAYBANK’S AIR MILES LUCKY DRAW (4 NOV 2015 – 29 FEB 2016) TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Definitions
"Account" means a personal Singapore issued Maybank Card account maintained by the
Maybank Cardmember which has not been terminated and in the sole discretion of
Maybank is in good standing.
"Cardmember" means a person to whom a Maybank Card has been issued by Maybank
who is a Principal Cardmember whose Accounts are in good standing throughout the
Promotion
Period.
The
Principal
Cardmember
must
be
enrolled
in:
(a) the Singapore Airlines’ KrisFlyer Programme or Asia Miles Programme; and (b) the
Maybank Frequent Flyer Programme, during the qualifying period.
"Chance" means one opportunity to participate in the Draw.
"Draw" means the lucky draw to be conducted by Maybank in accordance with these
terms and conditions.
"Maybank" means Malayan Banking Berhad, Singapore branch.
"Maybank Card" means a personal Singapore-issued Maybank Credit or Debit Card
“Maybank Frequent Flyer Programme” refers to the Maybank loyalty programme that
lets you convert your TREATS Points to KrisFlyer miles or Asia Miles. Cardmembers must
be an existing KrisFlyer member or Asia Miles member in order to enrol.
"Prize" means one (1) million KrisFlyer Miles or Asia Miles for each of the five (5)
Winners. KrisFlyer Miles and Asia Miles are subject to the respective merchant’s Terms
and Conditions and the restrictions on use set out therein.
"Promotion Period or Qualifying Period" is defined as 4 November 2015 to 29 February
2016 (Singapore time both days inclusive).
"Retail Transaction" means an approved retail payment made by the Maybank
Cardmember using his/her Maybank Credit or Debit Card. A Retail Transaction includes
monthly instalment amounts posted to a Maybank Cardmember’s Account during the
qualifying period under a 0% instalment plan, but shall exclude the full amount charged
under the plan. EZ-Link transactions, Transitlink transactions, cash advances, fund
transfers, reversals, money transfers, annual fees and finance charges, any form of
online payment gateway transactions such as PayPal transactions, BidPay transactions,
and Skrill transactions, are also excluded and will not be taken into consideration for
the purpose of the Draw.
"Winners" means the five (5) Maybank Cardmembers who are the winners of the Draw.
Definitions importing the singular shall include the plural and vice versa.

2. Eligibility
a) All Maybank Cardmembers whose Maybank Card Accounts are open and in good standing during
the Promotion Period are eligible to participate in the Draw except for:
i) Holders of business/corporate cards, prepaid cards and ATM cards;
ii) Supplementary Cardmembers. For avoidance of doubt, the benefit of all charges incurred
by a Supplementary Cardmember in respect of the Draw shall accrue to the eligible
principal Cardmember. Termination of a supplementary Cardmember’s account will not by
itself disqualify the eligible principal Cardmember from the Draw;
iii) Maybank employees (and their immediate families) and employees of its
advertising/media agencies, vendors or sponsors;
iv) Principal Cardmembers whose Accounts are terminated during the Promotion Period;
v) Principal Cardmembers who are not a member of the Maybank Frequent Flyer Programme;
and/or
vi) Any other accounts that are deemed to be delinquent or unsatisfactorily conducted by
Maybank at its sole and absolute discretion.
b) By participating in the Draw and/or by accepting a Prize, Cardmembers agree to abide by the
terms and conditions stated herein.
3. Promotion Mechanics and Awarding of Chances
Each eligible Cardmember will receive the Chances as set out below:

a) From 4 November 2015 to 6 January 2016:
Earn 10 Chances for every S$50 charged to your Maybank Card:
Ten (10) Chances will be awarded for every S$50 charged to your Maybank Card in local or
foreign currency equivalent, accumulated in eligible Retail Transactions.

b) From 7 January to 29 February 2016:
Earn 20 Chances for every S$50 charged to your Maybank Card:
Twenty (20) Chances will be awarded for every S$50 charged to your Maybank Card in local
or foreign currency equivalent, accumulated in eligible Retail Transactions.

c) Only Retail Transactions charged in any calendar month during the Qualifying Period posted
by the 6th day of the subsequent month to the Cardmember’s monthly statement of
Account shall constitute proof of eligible spending for purposes of computation of Chances
for the Draw.

d) Retail Transactions charged to the Maybank Cards in February 2016 must be posted to the
Cardmembers’ Accounts by 6 March 2016 for computation of Chances for the final month of
the Promotion Period.
e) The Chances will be awarded to the Principal Account holder on a monthly basis. Chances
would be reflected in the monthly billing statements sent to Cardmembers.
f)
Maybank shall not be responsible for any failure or delay in the transmission of evidence of
sales transactions by merchant establishments, postal or telecommunication authorities or
any other party which may result in a charge incurred by the eligible Cardmember and/or
his/her supplementary Credit Cardmember(s) as being omitted from the allocation of
Chances by Maybank during the Qualifying Period.
g) Chances accumulated are not transferable and will be cancelled by Maybank, without
incurring any liability, upon the suspension, cancellation and/or termination of any
Account.
h) Chances cannot be transferred to or combined with Chances awarded to any other
Cardmember’s Account.
i)
In the event that an Account is closed and a new Account is opened, Chances from the
closed Account will not be transferred to the new Account.
j)
For Retail Transactions for which Chances are awarded and are subsequently cancelled or
reversed, Chances awarded will be automatically deducted.
k) Maybank reserves the right at any time to withdraw, cancel or invalidate the number of
Chances assigned to any Account without notice or reason or liability to any person.
l)
Maybank’s transaction records and the total number of Chances allocated to a Cardmember
shall be final, conclusive and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.
4. Draw
a) The Draw will be conducted on 18 March 2016 or such other date as Maybank may determine
at its sole discretion at Maybank Centre, 1 Ang Mo Kio Street 64, Singapore 569083 or such
other venue as may be determined by Maybank via a computerised lucky draw system.
b) The Prizes will only be awarded to the Winners.
c) Maybank reserves the right to draw a reserve winner to substitute a Winner subsequently
found to be disqualified. Maybank’s determination of the Winner shall be final, conclusive and
binding. No correspondence or claims will be entertained.
d) Winners will be notified by ordinary post and/or contacted via telephone at their last known
contact on record with Maybank. Except for notifications to the Winners, Maybank is not
obliged to enter into any correspondence with any person on any matter concerning the Draw.
e) Results will be announced on Maybank’s website at www.maybank2u.com.sg and published in
a newspaper within seven (7) working days after the Draw date.
f)
Maybank reserves the right to claim the full cost of the Prize from the Winner in the event
that: a) an eligible Retail Transaction is cancelled or reversed after the Prize has been
awarded; and/or b) the Winner’s Maybank Card Account is closed/terminated for whatever
reason (whether by the Winner, Maybank or otherwise) within six (6) months from the date
the Winner receives the Prize. In such cases, the Winner authorises Maybank to charge the
value of the Prize to the Winner’s Maybank Card Account prior to the closure or termination of
the Winner’s Maybank Card Account or deduct the full cost of the Prize from any other
account that the Winner maintains with Maybank.

g) The Prize must be claimed in Singapore on or before 18 May 2016. Any unclaimed Prize will be
forfeited. Any Winner whose Prize has been forfeited shall not be entitled to any payment or
compensation notwithstanding non-receipt of notification.
h) Prize is neither transferable nor exchangeable for cash, credit or otherwise. Maybank may, at
any time without notice in its sole and absolute discretion, substitute the Prize with another
prize of similar value without notice and liability to any person.
i)
Winners shall accept the Prizes "as is". Maybank is not the supplier of the Prizes and any
related services and makes no representation or warranty whatsoever as to the
merchantability and/or fitness for purpose of the Prizes and assumes no liability or
responsibility for the acts or defaults of the merchants or for any non-delivery or nonperformance. Maybank is not an agent of the merchants. Any dispute over the Prizes and/or
related services shall be resolved directly with the merchants.
5. General
a) Cardmembers hereby authorise Maybank to disclose and publish their names and other
particulars in the event that he/she wins the Prize in accordance with applicable law.
b) The Winners consents to attend a Prize presentation and/or participate in publicity
programmes. All expenses and/or costs incurred for such attendance shall be borne by the
Winners and Maybank reserves the right to use the name, address, photographs, information,
particulars and/or documents of the Winners in any advertisement or other forms of publicity
from time to time.
c) Maybank shall have the sole and absolute discretion to exclude any person from participating in
the Draw without any obligation to furnish any notice and/or reason.
d) The eligibility to receive Chances to this Draw is not valid in conjunction with other Maybank
offers, promotions, in-house offers, discount cards, loyalty programmes and vouchers, unless
otherwise stated.
e) Maybank reserves the right in its sole and absolute discretion to vary, delete or add to any of
these terms and conditions from time to time or to suspend or terminate the Draw at any time
without notice or liability to any person.
f)
Maybank, its related corporations, employees and/or independent contractors shall not be
liable to any person for any loss, damage, liability, expense and/or injury whatsoever or
howsoever incurred or sustained by the Cardmember and/or any other person by reason of,
arising from or in connection with the Draw and/or the use of the Prize or lost, late,
misdirected, damaged, incomplete, illegible or postage-due mail, or transactions that are
processed late, incorrectly or lost due to computer or other electronic breakdown or
malfunction or any other reason.
g) Maybank’s decision on all matters relating to the Draw (including without limitation the
Chances awarded to the Cardmembers and the selection of the Winners of the Draw) shall be
final, conclusive and binding on all participating Cardmembers.
h) Maybank may at any time waive either unconditionally or on such terms and conditions as the
Maybank deems fit in its discretion any right it has under these terms and conditions, however
any such waiver shall not preclude Maybank from exercising such rights in the future.
i)
In the event of any inconsistency between these terms and conditions and any brochure,
marketing or promotional material relating to this Draw, these terms and conditions shall
prevail.
j)
