450mm Joist Centres:
1 Bucket (900 Pc) covers approx. 35 M2 when using 86 - 90mm boards and will cover approx.
50 M2 when using 135 - 140mm boards.
1 Packet (90 Pc) covers approx. 3.5 M2 when using 86 - 90mm boards and will cover approx.
5 M2 when using 135 - 140mm boards.
A fastener is needed at every intersection of a joist and decking board.
When using 90mm decking with joist spacing’s of 450mm centres
Square Metres x 26 = Number of Fasteners Required
When using 140mm decking with joist spacing’s of 450mm centres:
Square Metres x 18 = Number of Fasteners Required
600mm Joist Centres:

DeckBone End Matched Joiners
Use With End Matched Decking
Pack Quantity = Packet of 20 Pieces
DeckBone 100 - For use on 84 - 120mm Boards
Allow 3 pieces per square metre. 1 packet will cover approximately 7 square metres.
DeckBone 150 - For use on 133 - 150mm Boards
Allow 2 pieces per square metre. 1 packet will cover approximately 10 square metres.
Allow one packet of 40mm S/S Countersink Deck Screws with Black Head for every 70 M2 of
deck area. These screws are used to screw the DeckBone to the joist on the off chance that your
decking board lands on a joist.
Allowances above are assuming a length average of 2.7m for your decking product. Adjust
accordingly if your length average is different.
Butt Seam Reverse Clips
Use With Non End Matched Decking
Pack Quantity = Packet of 55 Pieces
When using 86 - 90mm boards allow 6 pieces per square metre
1 packet will cover approximately 10 square metres.
When using 133 - 140mm boards allow 4 pieces per square metre.
1 packet will cover approximately 14 square metres.
Allowances above are assuming a length average of 2.7m for your decking product. Adjust
accordingly if your length average is different.
Weather Strip & Riser Strip
Use When Decking Boards are Under 22mm Thick
Weather Strip Pack Quantity = Roll of 25 Metres
Riser Strip Pack Quantity = Roll of 10 Metres
Allow for Weather Strip to cover all of your joists. The total lineal metres of joists equal the
total lineal metres of Weather Strip you will need.
450mm Joist Centres:
Approximately 2.4 Lineal Metres of Weather Strip per Square metre.
600mm Joist Centres:
Approximately 1.75 Lineal Metres of Weather Strip per Square metre.
Riser Strip
When Using DeckBone End Matched Joiners and joining the decking off the joists
approximately 1 roll of 10 metres will cover approximately 70 M2.
When Using Butt Seam Reverse Clip Joiners and joining the decking on the joists approximately
1 roll of 10 metres will cover approximately 35 M2.
More Riser Strip may be required for mitred corners or other situations where two boards meet
on a joist.
Starter Clips - Stainless Steel Concealed Brackets
Pack Quantity = Packet of 25 Pieces
450 mm Joist Centres:
Both the Top Fix and End / Side Fix Brackets will cover approximately 10 lineal metres of
perimeter board.
600 mm Joist Centres:
Both the Top Fix and End / Side Fix Brackets will cover approximately 14 lineal metres of
perimeter board.
Allow adequate S/S Screws for fixing:
40mm S/S Countersunk Deck Screws with Black Head ( 1 per Top Fix Bracket )
40mm S/S Countersunk Deck Screws with Black Head ( 1 per End / Side Fix Bracket )
16mm S/S Pan Head Bracket Screws with Black Head ( 2 per End / Side Fix Bracket )
Trim Top Surface Fixing Screws
Pack Quantity = Packet of 75 Pieces
Estimates Below are allowing for Total Surface Fixing.
450mm Joist Centres:
When using 86 - 90mm allow approximately 63 screws per square metre.
When using 133 - 140mm boards allow approximately 40 screws per square metre.
600mm Joist Centres:
When using 86 - 90mm boards allow approximately 50 screws per square metre.
When using 133 - 140mm boards allow approximately 33 screws per square metre.

Estimates Below are for Perimeter Board Fixing Only
450 mm Joist Centres:
1 Packet will cover approximately 33 lineal metres of perimeter board. Screw fix one side only.
600 mm Joist Centres:
1 Packet will cover approximately 45 lineal metres of perimeter board. Screw fix one side only.
