1st Amendment- freedom of religion, speech, petition and press, you can assemble.
2nd Amendment-right to bear arms
3rd Amendment- soldiers can’t come in your home without permission
4th Amendment- have to have a warrant to search and seize
5th Amendment- you have to be properly accused of committing a crime, double jeopardy, self-incrimination,
you have to have due process
6th Amendment- fast and fair trial with god representation (lawyer)
7th Amendment- right to a jury in civil cases (peers judge you)
8th Amendment- no torture- punishment must fit the crime
9th Amendment- all powers not written down belong to the people

slaves weapons to fight back. This showed the south how dangerous abolitionist were.
7. Harriett Beecher Stowe wrote a book about slavery. This book is called Uncle Tom’s Cabin.
How did this book influence the tensions between the North and the South? It made the north want to end slavery
even more and made the south angry because it wasn’t a true story.
