Sermon Text
Subject
“He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the
beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to
make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the
earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them.”
I Samuel 2:8
From rags unto riches, from silver to gold,
From tinsel to diamonds of value untold;
From the slums to a palace, forever to reign,
He takes a beggar, and makes him a king.
From slavery to freedom, from darkness to light,
He gives joy for sorrow and peace for our strife;
A husband to widows, to sinners a friend,
He takes a beggar and makes him a King
He changes our dwelling for a mansion so bright,
He changes our clothing for a garments of light;
From dust to the throne we with princes will reign.
He takes a beggar and makes him a King.

The Community Food Pantry is trying something new. Each
month the food pantry will give us suggestions as to the items
that are needed. Each month the list will change. Of course any
non-perishable food items are always accepted. For November
the food pantry suggests food items of crackers, cereal, rice, and
rice mixes.
The food pantry is also in need of volunteers on either a
permanent or substitute basis. Please call Russ Ryan at
827-4093 to obtain information about volunteering.

Spiritual “To Do List”
(things God has shown me today)
My heart rejoices
He lifteth the poor from the dust to the throne,
He shelters the orphans and calls them his own.
He leadeth the blind and He makes the dumb sing,
He takes a beggar and makes him a King.
