I have arranged with the Palace for them to have a rehearsal in their space during the morning of the performance. Lotty Burridge should attend tomorrow. Please drop your child at the main gate by 9.45 tomorrow morning. I will be waiting at the main gate with Mrs Dickenson and would be grateful if you could be prompt. Please note that you cannot enter the palace by vehicle at the main gate at the moment due to some work being carried out there. Can I suggest that if you travel by car that you share lifts. Drama Club next week: Wednesday lower school drama club is cancelled as Mrs Sawyer is off site. Friday upper school drama club will be on. Tickets for the Hampton Court Performance: I have ordered a pair of complimentary tickets for every cast member. Hampton Court Palace team has informed me these should be with us next week. We will then distribute them to the cast members to give to their parents. Any additional family/friends that want to come and watch as well will be charged £13.86 each, they can pay this on arrival at the Palace’s general visitor welcome office. Please be aware that there will be a large audience and the Great Hall is open to the public. Therefore seats will be allocated on a first come first served basis. So if you want to sit in a particular place, early arrival is recommended! (This is out of school control) Please note no food and drink is allowed in the Great Hall. St John the Baptist Church of England Junior School Lower Teddington Road, Hampton Wick, KT1 4HQ www.st-john.richmond.sch.uk e-mail: [email protected] Headteacher: Mrs. Susan Sawyer Deputy Headteacher: Mrs. Angela Kenneally Tel: Fax: 020 8977 4114 020 8977 6960 Please remember these wonderful children of yours have worked so hard to present this play…and their rising to the challenge of performing in such a large and imposing space is tremendous. It is a sophisticated play; please do not bring small children and babies as it really does disturb the cast when they are acting. They will need a quiet audience as noise is likely to drown out their voices in this vast and magnificent presentation space. Tickets for the St John’s school production: Tickets will be available for parents to purchase at £5 each. Please note that at the moment we will have to restrict ticket purchases to 2 per family, however if more become available I will let you know. Again can I please urge you not to bring small children to the performance. The whole school will all have seen the dress rehearsal of the production already. If you have offered to help I will be in touch next week. I am so proud of them and so pleased for them to have this once in a lifetime experience!
