Quilter’s Rule 6” Right Triangle
The Quilter’s Rule 6” Right Triangle is specially designed as an ideal measuring companion for use with a
rotary cutter. Simple and easy to use, this triangle is great for making 45 degree triangles and diamonds
from 1” to 6”.
Ca re of Ruler: Clean with soap and water or a non-ammonia glass or window cleaner.
H ow to Use:
1.) Using the base (the edge opposite of the 90 degree corner) of the Right Triangle, mark or cut with
a rotary cutter across your fabric for a straight edge.
2.) Simply slide the Right Triangle down from the mark or cut just made to the desired triangle size
and mark or cut along the two outside edges to complete your fabric triangle cutout.
For Right Angle Triangles on the Bias
Place the Right Triangle with the top 90 degree corner in the bottom left corner of your fabric. Mark or cut
the desired triangle size along each of the outside edges of the Right Triangle. Slide Right Triangle down
at a leftward angle so the base of the Right Triangle is at each of the marks or cuts just made. Mark or cut
along the base of the Right Triangle completing your fabric cutout,
For 45 Degree Diamonds
Fold your fabric in half. Using one of the 45 degree diamond corners of the Right Triangle, place the
desired diamond size on the fold of your fabric. Mark or cut along the two outside edges of the Right
Triangle. Unfold your fabric diamond cutout.
