In the Trenches

In the Trenches
As part of my unit I am studying about the
trenches used during World War 1.
The soldiers made the trenches with wood,
barbed wire and camouflage that was dug into
the ground. A trench is under land so that the
soldiers would hide in them.
The soldiers can’t get in through the barbed wire
fence and everyone hops in their trenches. If a
soldier hops out of their trench they wouldn’t
have much luck in living. The trench war
stopped the war from moving.
Some of the trenches had lice in them so the
soldiers had lice all over their bodies and clothes.
At the Western Front soldiers lived in water filled
trenches, which caused them to have Trench
Foot.
