PRODUCT RANGE GUIDE Pg 1/3 03/11 HiBuild 1000 Description High Build Waterproofing Membrane Special Features & Physical Properties • Engineered to give uniform film coverage on textured and coarse surfaces up to 1000 microns per coat. • Extremely high Solids Content with a minimum of shrinkage – bridges cracks up to depth of dry film build. • Elastomeric properties ideally suited to a range of remedial applications on porous or cracking surfaces. • Excellent adhesion and elastomeric properties – ideal for buildings subject to flexing and movement. • Highly thixotropic properties allow the creation of textures up to 5mm in height. • High application rates means only one coat of HiBuild 1000 may be required on many applications. • Mould and fungus growth inhibitors to ensure paint condition and appearance is maintained. • Colour Range: standard bases can be tinted to a large range of White, Pastel and Dark and very Deep colours. No colour over coating required. • Environmentally friendly formulation: low odour and lead free. Typical Uses • Building subject to flexing and/or movement • Water proofing structures subject to cracking and/or porosity • Creating textured finishes • Creating a more even appearance on irregular substrates Gloss Level Low Sheen ≈ 15% Volatile Organic Compounds The American Society for Testing and Materials – ASTM D3960 Nil Recommended Substrates • Concrete walls • Solid Plaster finishes • Cementitious cladding • Stucco • Brick & block work • Tilt Slab Product specifications change from time to time and may differ from those published. PRODUCT RANGE GUIDE Pg 2/3 03/11 Dry Times Depending on such factors as film thickness, ambient air temperatures, humidity levels and air circulation the general dry times are: Touch Dry 30 – 60 minutes Re-Coat Time 2 – 6 hours Application is not recommended if the surface and/or air temperature is less than 10˚C. Application Methods • Application by airless spray gun is recommended to attain specified wet film builds. • Nap Rollers with 16mm piles or greater are recommended for creating fine textures. • Goop Loop Roller are recommended for creating heavy textures Surface Preparation General Preparation • All loose material such as peeling, flaking paint or poorly adhering substrate should be removed and surface damage or imperfections made good. • The surface must be clean and free of contaminants. Weathered surfaces should be water-blasted and any contaminated surfaces etched and cleaned. • Cracks should be filled with an elastomeric filler after the application of PaintPlus Masonry Sealer. • Moss and mould infected areas should be treated and waterblasted. • Prepare glossy areas by acid etching or grinding and thoroughly cleanse with a water blaster or a soft brush and hose to remove release agent residues and loose particles.
