INSTRUCTIONS FOR POSTER PRESENTATION
Posterpresentationsprovideanopportunityforinterchangeofideasbetweenthepresenterandaudience
interestedinhis/herstudy.Thepostershouldbeoutlinedsotheresearchcanbeunderstoodwithoutanoral
explanationasapostermayalsobeviewedwhentheauthorisnotpresent.
SESSION:
Posterswillbepresentedduring4sessions(FridayEvening,SaturdayMorning,andSundayMorning).
SessionswillbeheldintheSymphonyBallroomattheDoubletreeHotel(237SouthBroadStreet).Please
remainbyyourposterforthetimespecifiedbelowanddiscussresearchpersonallywithinterested
individuals.
Set-Up:Eachposterboardisnumberedsequentiallyinyoursession.Locateyourassignedposterboardand
mountyourposterwithinthetimenotedontheseinstructions.Setupshouldoccurbetween4:00pmand
6:00pmfortheeveningSessions.Forthemorningsessions,postersetupmaybeginasearlyas600am.
Pushpinswillbeprovidedinthearea.
Take-Down:Pleasedisassembleyourpostedmaterialsattheendoftheposterviewingtimeofyourassigned
postersession.Anymaterialsleftontheposterboardattheendofthesessionwillberemovedand
discarded.ESPRwillnotberesponsibleforpostersleftattheendofsession.

PosterBoardDimension:SurfaceoftheBoard:4feethighand8feetwide[1.22metersand2.44meters].
Header:Prepareaheadlinethatidentifiesyourresearchtobemountedatthetopoftheposterboard.
Letteringshouldbe1½“[3.81cm]highormore.Includeauthorsandtheiraffiliationsundertheheader.
Organization:Thekeyistoachieveclarityandsimplicity.Donotoverloadorcrowdtheposter.Usea
coherentsequence(toptobottomorlefttoright)toguidetheviewerthroughtheposter.Usefigures,tables,
graphsandphotographswhenappropriate;keeptextbrief.Itmaybehelpfultohavematerialspre-mounted
onmountingboards.Allmaterialsshouldbelegiblefromadistance.
Typography:Avoidusingabbreviations,acronymsandjargon.Fontshouldbeconsistentthroughout.
