Coaching workshop for the Belarusian
logistics sector
Amber Coast Logistics
(ACL) has made its first
appearance at
Belarusian Transport
Week, which was held
from 07-11th October in
Minsk. ACL had a stand
of its own and offered a
coaching workshop,
concentrating on
learning from Best Practice examples.
Around 70 logistics players from Belarus attended the
English-language coaching seminar, given under the title
‘Logistics companies: quality requirements for logistics
services and logistics service providers in Belarus’.
Speakers of the workshop were experts from established
logistics companies, institutions and ACL stakeholders.
One highlight of the international Transport and Logistics
trade fair was a visit to the ACL stand by the Belarusian
Minister of Transport. His visit emphasised the importance
of the EU project to the Belarusian logistics industry.

Dear Readers,
how quickly time flies! Only six
months of the project lifetime
lie ahead of us but still many
interesting tasks and activities
need our involvement. We are
currently working on a guideline
for the better integration of
regional logistics solutions,
mainly those in Belarus, into
the EU logistics networks.
Moreover, the most important
topics, events and results of
our project need to be
summarized for the final
brochure. Another, but not less
important task is the
preparation of the final
conference that will take place
on February 27th, 2014. Next

Accessibility in the Baltic Sea Region
Five transnational
research papers on
accessibility produced
by project partners of
Amber Coast Logistics
have been finalized.
The papers describe
physical, political,
commercial, technological and organizational dimensions,
and analyse how they each influence the seamless
transport of goods in the Baltic Sea region (BSR). All five
papers define accessibility as "the ability to reach desired
services, activities and destinations". The papers suggest
different possibilities and actions to support and increase
the accessibility in BSR.

Looking forward to this grand
final event, we are at the same

activities: The summer months
were used to finish research
papers analyzing transport
corridors in the Baltic Sea
region and the most important
factors that have an impact on
the region’s accessibility.
Furthermore, the online
platform PORTlog which
provides customers from all
over the world quick access to
the logistics service suppliers in
the Port of Hamburg was
launched during the Transport
and Logistics exhibition in
Munich in June.
Many exciting events such as
the “Conference on Eastern
Europe – Business without
borders” in Frankfurt/Oder or
the German-Lithuanian
Economic Forum in Hamburg
are featured in this newsletter.
Two other highlights in the
past months: ACL has made its
first appearance at the
Transport and Logistics
Exhibition in Minsk with a stand
