Hazen Booster Club General Meeting 9/16/15 Meeting started at 8:14 pm Introduction of new HBC officers + meeting attendees Meeting Minutes from 05/20/15 meeting were reviewed. New correspondence--None Membership—100 members Treasurer’s Report-- All accounts are reconciled through 8/31/15 Tailgate--on 9/17/15 at Renton Stadium and also on 10/9 and 10/23. Ok to sell spirit wear at the Tailgate. Team/Club Updates. - Girls' soccer is winning and having a great season. - Band has purchased a ladder for Mr. Coy to direct from, kids bought pseudo uniforms, PA system purchased, lots of money was raised and spent. Band is also marching at Husky stadium this Sat. 9/19. -Boy's Tennis is going great and they have won every match. -Drill team will participate in Issaquah Salmon Days on 10/3/15. -Boy's Baseball is also participating in Fall Ball. -Volleyball had 56 kids try out, lots of involvement. Volley has a C, JV and Varsity team. -Cross Country is doing very well and the freshman class has some standouts--they are rocking it. - Girls Swim has a large number of participants as well. - Golf is doing great!! New Business -Bylaws will be reviewed at October meeting -Fall Grants are due 10/15/15, forms are on the website, fill out and submit. Reviewed rules regarding Grants and the process to obtain the monies and how they are to be spent. -Ray Kusumi explained how fundraising opportunities work with Husky concessions; each person working concessions earns a minimum of $100.00 and it is about an 8 hour shift. Students who are 16 and older can work in concessions and must have a food handle permit. 18 and over can serve alcohol. Unfinished Business—none Next Meeting— 10/21/15 Adjourned meeting at 8:45 pm
